MARS is a new, cloud-based multitrack audio recording system
that can be installed locally on your computer (Mac / Windows / Linux) or deployed remotely via cloud hosting or your own website.

MARS is a professional, cross-platform multitrack audio recording system
designed for musicians and audio engineers who require portable, device-agnostic multitrack recording capability with minimal system overhead and uncompromised, studio-grade audio quality.

It is designed for efficient multitrack audio recording, editing and archiving.

Highlights
• Records uncompressed, timestamped 24-bit audio in Broadcast Wave format
• Playback support includes: WAV, PCM, MP3, MP4, FLAC, OGG, Opus, AAC, WebM, M4A
• Cross-platform, browser-native recorder deployable locally or to remote infrastructure (Mac, Windows, Linux, website, cloud)
• Precise real-time metering system designed for both close-up editing and accurate long-distance monitoring
• Unlimited Undo/Redo system, internally managed in increments of thousands of steps
• Supported bit depths and sample rates for recording/playback: 8–32 bit, 16–384 kHz
• Native sound card compatibility, including WDM and CoreAudio
• Import/export file handling via exact binary copy, no format conversions
• New, intuitively structured, high-precision waveforms
• Comprehensive editing with built-in toolbar and shortcuts
• Ultra-fast, one-click Mix Down to create reference mixes

MARS is in the late stages of development,
and we are looking for professionals and enthusiasts who require multitrack recording capability to test-drive and provide feedback on areas for improvement. We have set up an early access program at mars-audio.com, where you can register and create an account to participate.

We are developing a multitrack recorder that is designed to match and exceed the full feature set of standalone high-fidelity recorders, with the added advantages of cross-device accessibility and availability at a fraction of the cost. Additionally, since MARS does not convert audio files during import/export, it will function as a reliable archiving tool for any multitrack recording session.

ASIO only via routers like ASIOlink Pro and VoiceMeeter.

Website has generic text with no real info on the company or the principals.

Apply to join the Early Access Program (I.e. be a beta user let's be honest). $ 499.

Hmmm, let me think about that for a moment.

Looks interesting, but too expensive :( Maybe crowdfunding would be a viable option. I mean for 80 bucks more I get a premium version of Ableton, Cubase, Pro Tools...
