There's a rumor from a reputable source on GS that this will have 16 analog drums, around 100 ACB instruments, 46GB of sample storage, and individual outs. If that's all true and the price tag is $2,500 USD ($3,500 CN), I might be tempted...

Yes, but how many notes of polyphony? I hate when I'm playing two handed-cymbal chords and the incoming cymbals choke my decaying ones like a cheap sears and roebuck hi-hat.

For me to buy a $2k+ drum machine in 2025 it needs to have a tiny little man, or woman, no sexism here, inside playing on tiny little acoustic kit. I need to see proper vintage tiny little microphones. Yes, it's ok if I have to drop tiny little bud lights into a little opening in the top to get them to play.

I'm going to guess 808, or maybe 909? Oooh, maybe it's 1000-note polyphony!

It must be 1000 notes, anything less would be insufficient, obviously.

It's big enough to have a little man inside, are you sure there isn't one there?

2020 is finally over.

They'll be putting buttons back in cars next.

It looks like they have gone all in on this one but it is not for me.
I have already created the drumkits i need over the years on my hardware and in Software so i don't want to waste more time with a new drum box just to create similar drumkits all over again.

It is a excellent choice for the people that want a external Drum Machine with a lot of extra cool stuff in it so i am happy they released something for you and not for me this time and i think Roland will sell a lot of these :tu:

i'm gonna buy two

i wonder if they're gonna use faulty capacitors to really NAIL that 808 hat sound!? :hyper:
