Whatever gripes I have sometimes with iZotope (customer loyalty incentives non existent) I do have to say that my recent communication with their support team have been super helpful. They were patient and thorough.
What I do like is that I can still run Ozone 9 on my M1 Mac running macOS 15.. so..
But what I like best is that you can still install and activate your plugins without using their version of Natvie Access. Which is the only reason I am still running iZotope on my system because both their installer/activation manager and the Native Instruments require you to install Rosetta or the thing wont run (that’s right.. not the plugins that need it, but Native Access and Product Portal!).
So that.. I hate very much. Don’t have that problem with Waves. Still run RBass, H-Comp and that spectral dynamics plugin of theirs. RBass I had to WUP to v16 for €9 though as that was still on v14 or something. Technically I maybe didn’t HAVE to, but my OCD can’t stand having one sole plugin running v14. And I thought €9 was worth it for a plugin I can not replace.

all my upgrades (ie ozone 11 to ozone 12) are thru their customer loyalty offers; check your account, i've always relied on those offers.Morty-C-137 wrote: Thu Sep 25, 2025 6:36 pm Whatever gripes I have sometimes with iZotope (customer loyalty incentives non existent) I do have to say that my recent communication with their support team have been super helpful. I know, but the 'loyalty' offers have a expiration date.. they get applied as soon as a new version is released and then expire very, very quickly. That's not customer loyalty rewarding. That is trying to get you to fomo on the new version each cycle.

What a lovely coincidence. Melda just started having a sale on their Vocal Rider. Snagged it and it does the work. But damn... not a huge fan of the Melda interfaces. Not that important, but the ease of use & clarity with the Waves Rider is way, way above Melda.
Maybe you get used to it.

I think they stop supporting the old version when a new major version comes out, which is almost yearly.
That said I'm still on Ozone 10 Standard and it works great on my Windows 11 PC. Since they're part of NI now, I just upgrade Komplete every other version or so, and then I get the latest version of Ozone at the time, too.

Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Speaking of. I got an email the other day saying all Izotope stuff will now be updated/downloaded/etc through Native Access. What I'm wondering is what if you have a different email addresses on the different accounts?

if i open the izotope product portal, it takes me to the NI app to sign in; if you don't have NI stuff, i think you'll be offered a sign-up option.osiris wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 11:27 am Speaking of. the izotope portal still manages their apps & updates.

Typically, I ended up buying both. First I bought the Melda one - but man I don't gel with the interface of Meldas. So now with Nectar on a big holiday sale I bought it and installed it. Will do some work with it later today.

Having tried almost every vocal rider available, Noiseworks Gainaim is by far my favorite. It does not write automation, if that's a concern. I was using Letimix Gainmatch prior. It's just a bit too convoluted to setup in that role, but it will write automation.
