where can we (as existing owners of Version 4) download the update to Version 4.1?
Thank you
I did send out an email with a download link. If you did not receive it please check out your spambox.
If this doesn't help you can request a free reshipment here:

in the standalone version, where is the MIDI configuration, so I can set my MIDI inputs? I have Audio Config but that is it.
On PC: Click on Config on the top left. Then Midi

On Mac: Click on Options in the top left. Then Audio/midi settings

You are running an old version which is outdated since half a decade. This is not the standalone that ships with Gladiator 4.1.

The update to v4.0 is a major update. The upgrade is free for anyone who bought Gladiator directly from tone2.com after April 2023.
Congrats on the release Markus!

Exciting. Ever since buying being blown away by Icarus I've been eyeing Gladiator - this pushes it up toward the top of my list! The demo sounds great- I'm really interested in the strange / more extreme places this synth can go..

This is 4.1 FULL. Not some old outdated version.

Now...support please. (Now I believe this is NOT user error!!!)

There is no bug and nothing wrong with the installer. I checked it twice now and it also works for 1500 other users.
You got a duplicate/messed up installation of two different versions. The standalone you are using is still from an old version. You only updated the vst2 plugin, but not the standalone (GladiatorX64.exe =standalone version wrapper).

Solution:
1) Go to your installation directory and delete the old standalone version GladiatorX64.exe . Remove all files with this name from your computer.
2) Run the full version installer of Gladiator 4.1 As installation type select 'Full (recommended): Standalone synthesizer + VST2 plugin + VST3 plugin'. Make sure that you select the right installation directory and do not move around files after finishing the installation

Please note that we do not have a support forum on kvr.

I just realise I have the same issue without realising it for all my tone2 instruments.. Somehow the installer does not update the standalone app (at least on my system and yours, (Windows 10)), so I just am removing all the standalone apps from the folder and reinstalling.. that seems to work.
I wonder if I have to do the same on mac now too.

The only 'issue' I see here is people not reading what's on their computer screen.

The standalone version is only installed / overwritten / replaced if you also select an installation type that includes the 'standalone'.
The standalone is not installed if you select the installation type 'minimal - vst2 only'.
The installer installs exactly what you select. Nothing else.

Solution: Run the installer and select 'full installation - VST3 + VST2 + standalone'.

I am out here. Bye

I do too. Always full installation of Standalone, VST3 & VST2...

Look Marcus, I have supported Tone2 through forums for years. And I am appreciative that you offered support back, through the forums, for me to correct this issue. It worked.

Consider this: This is technology and we all know that it can do weird things at times... so if you are assuming that the user did something wrong (which if you notice, on my initial post, I assumed responsibility, though it was nothing I had done) as a developer, also consider that the product doesn't always do what it does even on hundreds or thousands of other machines.

A friend of mine bought a new car that the engine froze in the first few dozen miles. When he took it back, the dealer didn't say "oh all of the other thousands of cars work just fine"...no, they took the car back and replaced it. (Yea I was a little shocked it was that easy, too.)

But isn't that just a kind and simple way of handling things? Golden rule works every time.

However, again, I appreciate the support. As a note I am on Windows 11, everything up to date. The installer MAY not overwrite the Standalone version on SOME machines. :)
