I love Minimal and have all their FX. This one doesn't really excited me tho. I didn't find the demo vids all that interesting and it reminds me of a lesser version of iZotope VocalSynth, which I already own.

Do they have the actual specs (what it does to audio) listed somewhere? Most of the presets I've heard so far sound a bit like just some spectral effects that are already pretty easy to achieve. Nothing wrong with that but I don't know if it's enough to get me to even go through the silly demo process.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

I wish that the sale prices were what ones credit bought as well, but I don't think MA does it any different than any other company that has the sub price actually credit the user's account. I know Kilohearts do the same thing, you accumulate credit, but have to use that credit vs retail price, not sale. The model - in one huge way - favors the user, I feel. Companies with this model are highly incentivized to create a lot of content so that the accumulated credits from the sub never quite buys everything.pekbro wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 9:51 pm @ Jake: That’s the thing, I’ll just pick up current outright when it’s on sale sometime, since it’s way cheaper. Then I’ll just use the points on whatever. So, it’s not really like RTO, it’s just a way to have access, until a sale comes up where I’m prepared to purchase it. I already
own all but maybe 2 effects, current and now evoke.
Anyway, I just wanted to bring that up.

Great work on evoke.![]()
To me, that ends up being a complete win/win if the quality of content is high, and MA has very high quality content.

This blows vocal synth out of the water.billinder33 wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 12:03 am I love Minimal and have all their FX. This one doesn't really excited me tho. I didn't find the demo vids all that interesting and it reminds me of a lesser version of iZotope VocalSynth, which I already own.
It's not even close.
Vocal synth is clunky and very long in the tooth by this stage.

I'd really prefer this discussion to stay on Evoke and not on credits -- but how is that better than getting to use the credit to pick whatever you want?pekbro wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 12:48 am Baby Audio and Plugin Alliance, let you pick a certain number of permanent lic’s at the end of the year.

There's a manual here that might be helpful: https://manual.minimal.audio/evoke-manualAh_Dziz wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 12:11 am Do they have the actual specs (what it does to audio) listed somewhere?

Fair enough, the problem for me is that after a year, I can’t choose whatever I want, because it’s not enough to pay for it.jakepenn_ wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 1:46 amI'd really prefer this discussion to stay on Evoke and not on credits -- but how is that better than getting to use the credit to pick whatever you want?pekbro wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 12:48 am Baby Audio and Plugin Alliance, let you pick a certain number of permanent lic’s at the end of the year.
Or I can just by it on sale for 1/2 if what I paid over that year.
*I'm just trying to explain why I am unlikely to continue with all access for much longer.
I think, we should be able to combine our earned points with other promotions in the least,
based on the plugins you already have permanent lic's for.
Anyway, no worries, you’re right about the off topic.

We do have an annual program which gives 2:1 bonus credits (like the everything bundle), but it's a bit different than a simple 1:1 model and communication seems key here so we aligned it towards "rent-to-own" but better for the time being.pekbro wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 2:04 am Fair enough, the problem for me is that after a year, I can’t choose whatever I want, because it’s not enough to pay for it.
I'd be curious if what you spent on the program was less than what the MSRP cost of the plugin they give you for free is -- because that is an interesting approach and if people like it, I'm of course here to try to make people as happy as possible.
Unfortunately in order to run programs like this, you need value to be consistent, so treating credit paid as down payment towards the next promotion is not possible to run from a fiscal perspective as a business.
Anyways, I'll leave it at that. If anyone is interested in an annual all access program which delivers 2:1 credits you're welcome to message our support and they can put you on it.

It does seem rather bizarre to promote a newly launched plugin, with an introductory offer (that is made available to everybody) at a greater discount, than the lesser discount which is simultaneously being offered to customers wishing to upgrade their existing "all software bundle" to also include the same product.
Does any other developer do this with their newly launched products and existing customer bundles? I cannot recall whether or not they do. Ostensibly however, it could send the wrong message to customers.
Why not, at the very least (while the intro offer is valid) make purchasing the new plugin the same price across the board, either through the completion of customers existing "all software bundles" and/or purchasing the plugin separately as standalone? At least then, everybody is on the same page with no confusion. Even if this was achieved via a simple discount "coupon code" (only eligible for bundle owners) to achieve pricing parity with the intro discount.
Then, once the intro discount period has ended, return each purchasing method back to their respective price points i.e. the normal customer discount for upgrading/completing their bundle with this product (perhaps, sans-discount coupon code), and back to the full price for everybody else.
Surely such product launches and pricing models should have been thought out and presented in a more sensible and customer-friendly manner, than having different concurrent discount pricing for the same product?
It appears Minimal Audio sure do enjoy a product pricing controversy ... or two.

Unfortunately If I modify the price of the product in the bundle the discounts will stack and I'm not sure what calculation exactly should happen in this situation. Is it a problem to just snag the product directly? It's a loyalty offer all the same.

Thanks for this feedback, I hadn't considered what a poor customer experience that could be. I just got that corrected:MrJubbly wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 7:59 am Different concurrent discount pricing for the same product?

Now the bundles will appropriately sum to the best price point available. It's got some kinks I'll have to work out later but I this is much better -- appreciate it.

That’s really cool! It’s very rare to see a company change their policy due to user feedback, or admit that ‘maybe’ there is a better way to handle an issue. But you’ve been very open to suggestions, and you’re being respectful about it. That totally deserves a shoutout!!jakepenn_ wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 10:06 amThanks for this feedback, I hadn't considered what a poor customer experience that could be.
