i tried it... presets are doing heavy lifting. some nifty algos and effects there, but when i tried it against Orange Vocoder 4, it was just different kind of weird/robotic. I think i'll pass for now

If i didn't have Orange Vocoder, i'd probably get it. Like it better than izotope vocalsynth and it's pretty comprehensive.
user interface is also much friendlier than Orange Vocoder.

i'll do another round today to see if i find anything i can't live without

Gave it its first real road test today on a track with a female singer.

I used the base choral preset and a scale quantise and four voices with very little adjustments to parameters.

The tuning algo was a bit iffy in places but I melodyned the trouble spots and that took care of that

I got a very convincing layered harmony that worked really well in context. It surprised me to be honest.

Better than Ovox or Vocal Synth by a comfortable margin.

Some timing offsets for voices would be cool for the extra realism but still really impressed with the result.

I own all your software products and now my 'All software' upgrade price is 79€.
Same as everyone.
How is this fair? As your loyal customer I'm not happy at all...
Coupon or something please?

I’m trying to find feedback about how this little beast behaves when not used on vocals. I really wonder if the algo is going nuts as soon as anything other than vocals are processed (happens very often with vocals-only plugins, unability to handle transients properly, pitch-tracking going mad...) or if anything can be used as source material with clean results, as far as resynthesis is concerned mainly.

Do you/other users who already demo’ed it care to elaborate please ? :tu:

Alex does a good demo of Evoke on non vocal input here:

It does very well on non-vocal input but in an effort to keep the product tight we focused on vocals from the top level. I think a general resynthesis plugin would be cool too but I'd put much less emphasis on the tuning etc

Thank you so much for being a bundle owner. Apologies it's unpleasant to see the deal not exclusive to you, but we don't market much and the intro offer is very much for you (and better than the bundle upgrades). I'll try to find a way to make the bundle upgrade experience more fun and tailored in the future. Thanks for the feedback.

I believe the vocoder in here is the only thing on the market which can compete on (on vocoding) with Evoke. Although Evoke is much more than a vocoder. (I'm biased obviously and have huge respect for Zynaptiq they make some of my favorite stuff)

Thanks so much for this comment :D -- that made my day!

Now that we're done with Evoke we'll start planning our new engineering initiatives, if you have any feedback please feel free to share it!

We have a feedback tracking board going here as well: https://feedback.minimal.audio

Thank you very much.
Not a lot of examples, but they sound really, really cool.
For the moment the plugin seems almost too good to be true.

Great stuff, I hope some parts of Evoke will find their way into Current.

I just spent about an hour with Evoke. First time to really dig in any. Holy shit. This is SO SO good.

I've been looking for this effect to exist for literally YEARS.

I went as far as subbing to autotune bundle. You can do most of what that bundle does in evoke and do it WAY easier and better.

Big congrats. Helps make all access a forever re-up for me.
