I just spent $140 on the Naada Collection on my iPad (should have only paid $120 but accidentally bought Collection I instead of I, II and III - so bought II and III immediately after and lost discount!) ... I was super excited to find that there was an AUV3 version of GeoShred (Studio) for Mac.
But damn! That's where the joy ended! $50 just to get the plugin to work. And then $50 per instrument after that...
Maybe it's chump change for those of you earning dollars - but for me here in South Africa, the plugin and the essential instruments plus the really cool Indian modelled instruments ends up being about a month's rent!
No discounts for being loyal GeoShredders, or acknowledgement of iPad App purchases..? That's sad. Especially since the iPad instruments are already pricey compared to other iOS Music apps.
Don't think I have ever spent $200 on an iPad app before!
Going to see how far I can get just using iPad as an External Instrument. No way I can afford to replicate my Naada Collection on the Mac! Unless moForte figures out a way of making their products affordable for anyone not from Europe or N America.
Love GeoShred - but man! So expensive for 3rd World musicians!

You absolutely have to pay again - the plug in is "free" with no sounds.
To get a starter pack of 20 sounds you have to pay $50. This starter pack is essentially a small selection of the starter pack that comes with GeoShred basic on the iPad.
In fact - what's worse is it seems to bypass the ability to send AND receive MIDI simultaneously via IDAM - ie.using iPad to control and record MIDI while recording audio to Logic Pro with the instruments I already paid for on the iPAD!
IS this really how MoForte and Jordan treat fellow musicians?
It's crazy - to purposely disable the functionality that exists with every other iOS app I own....
