Korg MS20v (arturia) modulation question

Can I modulate the filter with both the EG 1 and with the mod wheel? If so how?
So that I can have an envelope providing a plucky filter sound, for example, but with overall filter control on the wheel.
Is this possible, if so how? Thanks

Yes, that's possible. I don't have the Arturia MS-20, but I do own the MS-20 (original) and the Cherry Audio PS-20.
Simply connect the output (positive or negative) of EG1 to the cutoff frequency input of the LP or HP filter (or both) using patch cables. Then set the "EG2/Ext" value below the corresponding filter to the desired value. The higher the value set, the more intense the effect of EG1 on the filter.
Then connect the Mod Wheel output to the same filter input using patch cables.
That should do it.

Doesn't MIDI learn work with the filter cutoff knob?
I think you could also assign it to a Macro, if it isn't already. Usually "Brightness" is on many of the patches. Then use the MIDI learn to assign the macro to your keyboard's mod wheel.

I'm trying to do it wihtout resorting to macros or automation. I want to know if it's possible in the plug in.
You cant patch both EG1 and the Modwheel to the filter in the arturia version afaict

OK, in this case, I would connect “EGT1 out” to “VCA in” (below EGT1 out). Then connect “VCA out” to the cutoff input of the desired filter. Finally, connect “Control input” of the VCA with the ModWheel output. That's an alternative.ghostwhistler wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 4:21 pm You cant patch both EG1 and the Modwheel to the filter in the arturia version afaict
