I have a Soundquest MidiTools software [Midimapper] that I use to play the fx out of my Hardware Multifx unit, I do this by simply doing "Patch changes" meaning, I click 02 in the midi software and it pulls up say a Reverb on the Hardware unit, I click 04 and it pulls up an Echo and so on.
What I would like to know is, can I do the same with any MIDI software but use Midi fx plugins or other "software" instead of the Hardware unit to get these effects?
