Yes, Whyterabbyt's statement and Aloysius's theory are indeed correct. Time-based effects are not part of the Mastering Console. I know there is debate as to whether those effects are useful in mastering, but the decision was made to not include them in the standalone Mastering Console.

Thanks, Peter.

As far as I can see, there never was any question about whether or not the time-based effects were utilized by T-RackS 6 Mastering Console. That they were not was needlessly repeated over and over. We can easily see that. The real question was Why Not? Unless some had inside information, we were speculating. After I realized that the Mic Room was also missing, I converted to the opinion that this was deliberate in agreement with others.

If I were the project manager, I would have objected quite strongly to excluding these modules, especially Reverbs. It seems too large of a departure from the previous version, and now the standalone does not match the plugin.

Would there have been a large number of users that would have objected if these modules were not excluded, even after the new name was introduced? "How dare you call this a 'Mastering Console?'"

I assume they're trying to market the Mastering Console as a tool for professionals, and so that kind of stuff does matter. It doesn't diminish what the mastering-focused plugins can do, but it does diminish from the image of the Mastering Console being made by and for professionals who know what they're doing.

That's why I said there is debate but the decision was made not to include them. It is a Mastering Console, the decision was to feature the mastering-centric plugins in that Mastering Console. The plugins all still work in your DAW so if you choose to use time-based plugins for your mastering needs, that might be a better-suited way to do so.

Though I have mentioned that some people may want to use reverb or similar even in mastering contexts to the team.

Trying the Delay Lab demo, there is strange behavior - with increased "Bit Reduction" knob (for say, half value), we hear infinite static processed feedback, even despite if the main Feedback knob set to 1-2%
Set Feetback to 0 helps though.
However doubt that this properly behavior.

I came across the same side effect. It seemed to be directly related to the Bit Reduction control in my experience. Once you reduce your bits below a certain point you start to hear a constant digital aliasing sound. I

This might happen as it's picking up on any noise on that track and is actually responding to it, or perhaps there is a small issue with how it was designed.

Either way, I used it to a creative advantage where I send it brief signal of something and use it to generate some custom digital noise I can blend in to whatever effect. Been thing of doing a whole bunch and sampling them so I can use them as a noise option for my synth patches.
