f**k that. It's bad ass and awesome they got Anika Niles. Getting Carey or someone like Bozzio would've been cliche for lack of a better word.

yeah, reading between the lines, i don't think they wanted an obvious replacement, so many technical prog/metal drummers they could have asked (Carey, Harrison etc etc....) but they wanted the feel as well (think of Peart learning more 'jazz' influenced styles later on). Someone who has all the obvious techniques and has that groove too (plays with jeff beck ffs), I think she'll be great.

I'd be more concerned about Geddy's voice; pretty flaky on those last tours but sounded ok at the taylor hawkins tribs so maybe it just needs resting, maybe one of the reasons why a week between venues?
