I often use IK Multimedia Brickwall Limiter. Simple. Effective.

Toneboosters Barricade 4 holds up well. Low latency and low CPU with some good features. The compressor in it is good but it lacks a sidechain highpass filter. Works great as a track or bus limiter. Also it's only 35 euros.

It's an absolute killer tool set and not just a limiter.onerob wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 2:33 pm If you have some CPU cycles to spare then TDR Limiter 6 has a lot going for it.

Elephant.
tested on ATC 110 speakers; is the most trasparent and does your job wonderfully.

Kclip (to prevent the limiter from reacting to random peaks overs) > Pro-L2 (True Peak disabled) > Pro-L2 (True Peak only - I like to meter the TP separately).

For me Pro-L2 is a workhorse for sure!

That incredible limiter that should go out of beta soonish.
Prior to that I was a Limitless fanboy, used it on countless masters.
I love Elephant's EL-C but rarely use it. Limiter 6 GE is incredibly capable as well.
I also love to use limiters on instruments / sub-groups, and then will go for Ocelot Limiter, TrackLimit or URSA DSP Boost. And Molot GE's Limiter.

DMG Audio Limitless released 2016 may be the last limiter for transparent ISP brickwall.

Just so expensive though. Fabfilter are great but maybe not that great.
What do you like in particular about Pro L?
