Linkedin POST:

Very happy to announce that I'm joining BIMobject as CEO! BIMobject is a tech company making cloud based solutions for the construction industry and is going through a big transition, in many ways similar to what I have been working on at Reason Studios.

The construction sector faces rising demands for sustainability, efficiency and accountability and being part of that transition feels very inspiring.

Looking forward to working with *Names of collegues* and the rest of the board on this journey.

BIMobject is listed on NASDAQ First North and working with a public company is an exciting challenge I'm also looking forward to.

At the same time, it's sad to leave Reason Studios. After 6 years, it has been a fantastic journey and Reason and all of you amazing people working here will always be dear to my heart.

I'll be starting at BIMobject latest in March 2026 so I'll soak up all the Reason vibes I can until then!

PRESS RELEASE:

N.A. appointed CEO of BIMobject AB (publ)

The Board of Directors of BIMobject AB (publ) has appointed N.A. as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. He will assume the position no later than 16 March 2026. Until then, Sofia H. will continue as Interim CEO.

Since 2019, N. has served as CEO of Reason Studios AB, where he led the company’s transformation from license sales to a modern, profitable, and growing SaaS business. He has an entrepreneurial background as founder of Instabridge AB, which he scaled to more than 30 million users. Earlier in his career, N. held leadership roles in telecom, including at Ericsson (SE) and Payfone (US) in mobile payments. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden.

“N. is the leader we have been looking for to guide BIMobject into its next phase, with a clear focus on growth and scalability. He combines a strong commercial drive with the ability to build high-performing teams and lead companies through transformation. As an entrepreneur and an internationally experienced tech leader, he brings a deep understanding of digital business models, go-to-market strategies, and what it takes to grow globally. The Board is very much looking forward to welcoming him to BIMobject,” says Pia Engholm, Chair of the Board of BIMobject AB.

“BIMobject is at an exciting stage with a strong product and a clear growth journey ahead,” he says. “With my background, I want to bring the best of both worlds to the company: an entrepreneurial and visionary leadership, combined with operational excellence and profitable growth.”

"We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats' feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar

Shape without form, shade without colour,
Paralysed force, gesture without motion;

Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom
Remember us-if at all-not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men."

From 'The Hollow Men' by T. S. Eliot

Reason is obsolete, exactly for that reason. Ha-ha.

Why? They should be looking forward, not backwards.
How original

Reason make really cool instruments and sounds. Why haven't they gotten into the VST game? It seems there is as much interest in the DAW as there once was but people like Reason Rack. So why not focus on what makes Reason good in the first place, the sounds. Put them DSP gurus they have to work.
Studio One // Bitwig // Logic Pro // Ableton // Reason // FLStudio // MPC // Force // Maschine

They did that with Europa and said they had plans to release more and shortly after the release they discontinued the Vst version and then everything went silent.

RS just needs a far better communication with their user base and with external manufacturers. It is all about basic, simple PRODUCT and CEO management.
If they would do this this at RS (finally) they soon would realize that people cry for BASIC features (track folders, markers, colors, loopers, live stuff and so on*).

How hard can it be to understand???

* A simplest form of implementation would be perfectly adequate for the start. It is important to generate a spirit of optimism in the community. Customers don't need anything totally extravagant or unusual for the sequencer area. It's all about the sooooo long requested BASIC sequencer/workflow updates for recording, mixing, arranging, and performing at all.

@RS: The DAW needs love! Update the software finally to the basic requests and Reason will rise. And no "totalitarian -> all must become totally mobile app-digital" outdated tech-company bullshit, please. Tech-companies mobile app digital-fetish will be outdated soon. Change the company name maybe back to the old Propellerheads name, too.

New RS ice sound video on youtube could the perfect start for the new Reason era.

Probably it wasn't as successful as they had hoped. The virtual instrument space is insanely crowded and competitive. Almost everyone does 90% off "devaluation sales" all the time because most people already have all the VST's they need and will only impulse-buy a new instrument when there's a sale.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

That is what i think happened too.
I agree. The Vst market has become so saturated a few years ago it took about 2-3 hours before you sold one on the used market and now it can stay up for sale for months.

I have seen the same trend when it comes to the used hardware market for around 3-4 Months now too.
This has been the worst year i have ever seen when it comes to the used market and i am worried for the future of most music companies since i believe that they must face the same issues.

I hope that this will not be the end for Reason Studios and that the CEO did quit because he got a better offer from another company.

I know. The Europa thing made me upset since I was like 2 seconds from buying it.

I have the discontinued reason lite or whatever it was called. It is a great host of their various plugins and I have bought a few. So they have some money from me via a cheap host they made. I would never have bought their full system and cannot understand why they dumped that priduct

I think I got it as a freebie from Plugin Boutique a few years ago when buying another plugin. I use it for exactly one thing: as a host for Objekt
