That’s exactly what happens on the hardware. When I and II are selected, the signal becomes mono because the BBD lines are cascaded, resulting in mono processing. Some other emulations handle this differently, but I think that’s part of what gives the hardware its unique character.Cuauhtli wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 8:15 pm Chorus I and II both on aren't supposed to sound that way, are they? Sounds like they cancel each other out (phase issue?).

Glad you’re enjoying JUNE! It’s been in development for almost a year, so I’m really happy to finally see it out in the world.

I can see why the others changed that then because it sounds awful. But it does make you appreciate them individually.
Still need to put it through its paces but so far so good.

The best thing about the Junos IMO is the IR3109 OTA filter. It's self-oscillation is great for Bell sounds and sweeping pads

my brother collected old analog synths (he had an amazing collection; sold the whole thing for a lot of money... sigh). i liked the 60, had fun playing with it. rudimentary (next to his OBX), but nice. the 106 (fwiw) paled next to it; thinner sound, no PWM...
anyway going to check this out now!

Just submitted a support request. Looks like MIDI Learn is entirely broken. At least here on Windows+Reaper (CLAP/VST3).
I even double checked with OB-XF from Surge, and MIDI Learn works there using the same track. So it definitely seem like the plugin.
Anyone else want to have a go at confirming? I'm sure it'll get resolved in short order.

imho, might be cool, if june could read TAL presets (and vice versa)...
and ODD MTS-ESP support would be cool too

Sounds good. Very close to Model 84 (with its high pass set to 1) even though that's meant to be a 106 emulation. The way the saw + sub osc sound together is very different in TAL's version.
The additional features are welcome. Love the phaser.
I'm getting some random stuck notes in FL Studio. Will investigate that more tomorrow.

Sounds good, but a few workflow things are bothering me. Wish the EXTRA tab was permanently on the screen. Has many important controls including volume. When I tab to the FX and adjust the overdrive the gainstaging gets off and I have to tab back to EXTRA for the Volume to compensate every time.
Also, the presets are all over the place in terms of volume which is annoying and totally avoidable with a little post submission work. There is no way to mark favorite presets or rate them. Yeah, it's a Juno, I know-I've owned multiples and they are not hard to program, but it is a general convenience in 2025 for any plugin. Before I get mansplained, yes, I can save them as DAW presets or resave as user presets, but I shouldn't need to, ha ha.
For the FX, wish there was Depth control for the Phaser instead of mix. The Overdrive needs a volume control, though here a Mix is more useful for synth than guitar. Would have picked Hall or Plate instead of Spring as it would complement the nature of the Juno better. Manual makes no mention of order of chain...is it right to left like a normal pedalboard or left to right like a lot of plugins do (oddly, I might add, but understandable for those who aren't guitarists). Also, the dragging FX order doesn't work very well here. I think you have to drag too far for it to swap.
Loved that a second envelope was added! I've got the Roland, TAL, Arturia, Softube (and other) versions of the Juno 6/60/106 and always appreciate that the ones that have a second optional envelope can do the original sounds, but also go beyond what the hardware could do. Thanks for adding it.
Appreciate being able to hide the keyboard from the GUI and still hope the FX would be an expandable tab rather than replace the EXTRA controls. AudioThing Outer Space is the best and glad there is a stripped down version here.
Would recommend putting the original Juno 60 factory presets in there like others have done. Just to mention, this does get the Chorus I+II correct versus the TAL version in terms of the stereo field.
Looking forward to making my own presets for it and integrating it into my songs.

I guess I am the only one who didn't like it... (I do have Tal's Juno 60, Roland's Juno 60 and 106 and softube 106).
I didn't demo it for more than an hour before I uninstalled it.
Different strokes for different folks.
I was hoping to like it, as I do try to support audiothing.

That's because he's making perfect sense and I agree with what he wrote 100%. Take a "super synth", use one Osc with a sub, a HP/LP filter, slap a chorus on it and *boom* you're 99% of the way to a Juno 60 and it will almost certainly sound better than the hardware.vurt wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 7:52 pmyoure starting to sound like teksonikseafire wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 6:36 pm The thing is, you can use all the super duper synths to do exactly the same. There's no magic in these old simple synths. You will find yourself getting bored very quickly.
I used to own a Juno 60 and while it got me radio play on a couple of tracks in the 80's I have no love for it in 2025. The only reason I regret selling it is because I could have gotten four times as much if I had waited and sold it at today's silly prices.
People claim to love simple synths when in reality any synth can be simple if for whatever reason you impose limitations on yourself. If one suffers from paralysis of choice then the problem is not with the gear.
I too get bored with all these simple synths because how many decades can one or two oscillators hold your fascination? It's like riding a bicycle when you've got a Ferrari in the garage.
I understand the slavish admiration for older synths some people have but I simply don't share that passion. Been there, done that. What we have at our fingertips these days simply blows away anything from the past. But hey, to each their own. Everything old is new to someone I suppose.
Having said all that I'll give the demo a go. Who knows, maybe it will bring a rush of nostalgia and for $39 you can't really get hurt either way.
EDIT: OK I tried the demo and it did bring back a memory. I remember why I sold the Juno 60 now.

I got this for mobile. With all the bloated instrument libraries I have (and love!), the mere fact that AudioThing can pack a convincing JUNO emulation into less than 25MB is amazing to me.
Thank you, Carlo!

I love it ! Very low CPU hit on Linux/Bitwig/Clap. Unisono is superb, and if you modulate FAT parameter with aftertouch, it's pure bliss. In eviroment like Bitwig, you can any simple synth make complex by modulating it's parameters. So, I love simple well thought out synth voices, and then I make more complex patches from them.
