Not all gear is treated equally for sure! I’m guessing mine was tossed in a backpack on the regular, but like my Ziggy (9 months in a shelter before us) it’s got a good home now.

The good folks at MN told me how to clean it all, and the smoke smell went away after a couple months.
I still have a protueus 2000, or whatever the blue one that's supposed to be so synthfutureretro. It stunk to high heaven when I first got it. I spend quite a lot of time cleaning it. It still smells if I take the top off, nearly a decade and a half later.

I made a little video last night while trying to think of some creative ways to patch the Make Noise Jumbler. In th video, I have six bands of a vocoder routed through the Jumbler, then a modulation source which is controlling the carrier signal is also controlling the Rotate input own the Jumbler. This causes the frequency response of the vocoder to shift and warp in interesting ways. Using the Radiate control on the Jumbler routes more of each channel into the others, at which point the vocoder acts more like a single envelope follower for all of the channels. The program signal is an old drum loop.

I'm using the AnalogFX VXC-2220 burt this can be done with a Moog Spectravox, a Frap Tools Fumana, A Verbos Bark filter or any filter bank which has envelope follower output and CV inputs for the level of each band.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Right, Xaoc killing it again.

Now I have to put this here because I don't think I'll ever be able to get it, but

limited quantities produced by a small maker with no outlets in the US and posts not delivering to the US - oh well.

Nice. I have picked up a couple of the spin chips so that I can play with those along with PT2399s, they both take high rate external clocks and have some nice properties accordingly.

Plinky came and I have this rack planned out. It's a two handed live performance skiff to sit in front of my DAW. Both Plinky and Misha have midi out and that's why I want them there, but also, I want a joystick for this rack and so the Victor in between adds another voice as well as a joystick that can be reached by thumb from either hand.

I think that I might have finally found a use for my much hated Make Noise skiff. It has unshrouded headers in the PS that hare annoying to reach and easy to plugin such that you offset a full row so I have to be careful moving things. It has M2.5 nuts which are annoying. It has no slant and is thick which, otherwise would be annoying, but for this application it's ok. I hate moving things in and out so I want something that's relatively permanent. This can be moved in front of my DAW, or in front of my modular. Hector finishes out the instrument along with the XOH which means that I can play at my desk with the computer turned off and even patch it out into my Tascam field recorder if I want to record what I'm doing.

Haven’t used the Befacto out V3 since I got expert sleepers ES-10 so I could replace that, but everything I want is more hp!
Cosmotronic Messor is 8hp, Pladask Dradd is 12hp, and Stardust is 18hp !

It's time to build a small modular instrument. That's where my output modules go. Think about a concept, then move the output module and pick one or two other lesser used, or, more immediate hands on modules that will make the instrument, put them in a small skiff either next to or to the side of your main rack, then you'll have the room.

As usual, the secret to solving problems that are limiting your consumption is just to engage in more consumption.

They're all immediate, hands-on modules. And everything in my rack has a purpose, even the OUT, for line-level signals. I feel like I might eventually get tired of the Swarm and that will open up space for a looper or something else. Overall, I feel like I'm in the goldielocks zone for size- big enough to do multiple things together, but not too big that I can't pick it up easily and move around.

That sounds dangerous. I've heard that staying in the goldilocks zone can lead to sensible consumption. I mean, you have to be careful there, next you going to be telling us that you don't own multiple LA-2A compressor plugins! Crazy talk!

No, your RIGHT! I just ordered a Cosmotronic compressor and an Eowave Germania

The sacrificial lamb will be Sarajewo since I have too many delays and that one, surprisingly, is my least favorite -or at least too subtle.
12hp out 12 hp IN and I am off the module consumption wagon

I think one of the plugins that came with the purchase of Audiofuse 16rig is an LA-2A compressor clone but that is the only one I currently own. :ud: Born poor and will die poor. But... do you use EQ modules in your rack?
What do you think about this: https://reverb.com/item/92357277-zlob-m ... k-2hp-2025
I like the name- Zlob modular
