Toneboosters Barricade V4 or Arturia's Bus Peak. I really like the clipping and limiting function in Bus Peak.

These threads need the mandatory mention of Thimeo Stereo Tool. It's Advanced Clipper algorithm is by far the best on the market in this segment.
As for limiters, I can only hype up what Neil already mentioned previously. Stay tuned!

Yes, Bus Peak is great, but more so for the clipper. It does the Lavry Gold thing very well on par with Acustica Ash. I still think IK Stealth beats the limiter though.MattLeschuck wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 10:49 pm Toneboosters Barricade V4 or Arturia's Bus Peak. The only thing I regret with Thimeo Stereo Tool is the lack of support for higher sample rates. It's indeed incredible though !

I bought it like 10 years ago.. think the license for the advanced clipper was like 60 euros or something. Looks like it's a life time license. Are you sure just the clipper is 320 euros?? It used to be a modular license so you could buy whatever you needed._leras wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 8:24 amWhich version? if the €319 version you guys must be on crack...nilhartman wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 6:50 ambmanic wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 11:32 pm These threads need the mandatory mention of Thimeo Stereo Tool. I just purchased the clipper a while back. IIRC it wasn't 320€ at all, more like 30/60€ tops.
As for the soon to be released limiter bmanic and I are referring to, we're both lucky to beta-test it and have been doing for months. I'm genuinely positive it will be 1) extremely easy for you guys to identify once released, really and 2) that you'll quickly hear in your own sessions how useful and amazing it is. And yes, I'm happy to pre-hype it a bit as it deserves it.

There’s only one question I’d like you to answer about this newcoming limiter please, if you can : is it multiband/spectral (the opposite being traditional one band)?nilhartman wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 3:31 pm I just purchased the clipper a while back. The answer is going to make me wait to process a few files...

It doesn't really matter if they confirm it or not. So far, FabFilter didn't release a new product this year, so I'd be very surprised if it ain't a new incarnation of their limiter (Pro-L 2 was released in... 2017).

indeed, would be great to have FF L2 (& for that matter, FF C2) up-to date alongside the (excellent) FF ProQ4...
