Arturia has released a transient shaper and nobody noticed :ud: https://www.arturia.com/products/softwa ... t/overview

A bit uninspiring, but I’m sure it’s high quality like their other fx. How many low hanging fruit are there still left for them to pick?

I’m waiting for FX Collection 6 anyway, so I won’t buy it. It’s a bit overdue though, and it doesn’t look like a release is imminent. Maybe they’re cooking up something really nice?

I'm waiting on FX Collection 6 as well.

Haven't had a chance to demo this, but... isn't this redundant if you have their Mix DRUMS one?
Until forever fades away.

So, for what it's worth, it was only $19 for me when I signed in.

Also, this seems to be more of a tool for any bus, not just drums. At least that's what the marketing is saying.

I know, but as Mix DRUMS can also be used on any bus or channel and not just drums, does this transient shaper one have any features that aren't in the drum one? It didn't seem like it at a glance.

Just when you thought Arturia couldn't possibly get any less inspiring...
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

I have currently problems with their homepage.
Not able to finalize the order.
Someone else as well?

I have a few transient designers already, but this one is multi-band, its a shaper instead of just gain controls, it’s Arturia (so it will be supported and updated for years), and It’s $19…

What I don’t like AT ALL is the GUI. It’s cool to interact with transient shaping using a graphical approach, but WHY SO FREAKING TINY?! They have so much real estate. There’s a million ways they could have designed the transient shapers’ UI to give you precise control

It seems more and more sites require a Chrome based browser without telling you. If you don’t want to feed Google, you can use the Brave browser, which might be a good idea anyway…

Well, it's a multiband transient shaper. It's a tool more than it is a creative effect. It's generally used to manage transient (or sustain) issues. It's not supposed to be exciting. Though, you could find away to use it more creative in some contexts, so that is something.

Imho it’s been quite clear for a while now that Arturia primarily focuses on putting together a complete mixing bundle. This means we’re getting tools like this — or a tape machine, or a clipper/limiter like in the last update — until they run out of obvious tools to model or reinvent.

Sure, it can be a bit uninspiring at times. But I think their strategy makes a lot of sense. It seems to me we’re close to that point where Arturia‘s bundle isn’t only a must-have, but comes with enough quality to replace every other competitor‘s product.

That said, I hope their upcoming update will include some „creative“ stuff as well, and not only pragmatic mixing tools, as lovely as they may be.

Here also. Four days later and their web store is still borked.

Arturia's website and software distribution have always sucked.
