This aged well...

My Presonus account tells me that my updates are expired (after 9th October 2025) so I should be happy with just version 7.2.
Probably for 7.3 they will need my $149. :x

Should I mention that neither 7.1 or 7.2 have been "major feature releases"?

Nice one Presonus! :tu:

Yes, it is quiet upsetting. If they do not extend this licence for next update, I will spend my money somewhere else. If Cubase will add something like splitter or some kind containers for fx and instruments, that would be like studio one but way better, with modulation and stuff.

Post

and to add insult to injury: last week they completely borked the merger of Presonus and Fender accounts. Resulting in a large number of users, who couldn't login any longer or were facing "empty" accounts.

Yeah..bumped into that problem last week. Somehow they fixed it. Didn't had issues with the software login.

I've always seen Studio One and Presonus in a good light but this time it seems that it's no more the same team and manager...

And in addition, they created a Fender account for all former Presonus account holders and copied all the account data - without any preliminary information. This is legally not permissible, at least in Germany and the EU.

Really interested in their new strategy regarding Studio One.

it seems like Fender has bought Presonus like four years ago, they had ample time to test this lol
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Like the old saying goes, "Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

Sadly, many will reup for another round of disappointment when it's time to renew their subscription or perpetual licence for new updates.

Only way to truly get Presonus' attention and put a stop the madness is to vote with your wallets. Otherwise, with all due respect, you get what you get. :dog:

Switched to Cubase, not looking back. Fender can only make things worse.

Waves studio verse and then the plugin company Dime with dime tt (transient+body splitter) and dime ms (mid side splitter) and they are about to come out with a frequency splitter if you dislike waves. If im being honest I prefer the UI of waves studio verse then the splitter. Not much advice on the instrument racks - I also wish we had this in cubase.

Don't get me wrong a native splitter would be way better. But as someone who left s1 who loved a lot of those sorta things - I haven't missed this that much.

I am very disapointed with Presonus' approach - I am still using it, but if they dont deliver within next 6 months 2 big updates - I am switching to Cubase and maybe even I'll get back to FLStudio (havent used it since 2011).

The thing is, I like Studio One. I find it more accessible than Cubase and am very happy with the scope and design of its features. I also prefer its user interface to Cubase's.

That's why I hope Studio One has a bright future.

I like studio one, just never going to pay $150 for the upgrade. No sales = no sale here.

I hope 7.3 has more free loops packs, an entire UI redesign focus on touchscreens and swiping, more synths added to subscription-only models, and more integration with the new app.

Gives new meaning to "Fender bender".
