Great to hear!tlvid wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 5:26 pm Thanks, all sorted now - it was because I used a custom voucher.
Did you buy Pianoteq recently? I forgot what the time limit is but they'll upgrade you for free if you bought it within the last x months.
I upgraded to the Studio Bundle last year. It would be the longest grace period I've ever seen, if that's the reason

Did you upgrade to Studio 9?
I have Pianoteq Studio 8 but their site doesn't seem to allow the upgrade to Studio 9, can only choose to upgrade to 9 standard. Emailed them awaiting to hear back.
Have you tried Vital?

Ooh, I also have a free upgrade in my account (I bought it during the BF sale last year). Maybe I'll put that $29 upgrade savings toward an expansion...

I would have liked to have seen a mandolin rail added and new model that uses it, like a Wing & Son upright with ‘Instrument Effect’ attachments from circa 1900.

The v9.0.1 installer wouldn't let me deselect "NKS" and it also installed two separate VST3 Pianoteq 9 plugins on my Windows 11 device (without giving me the options for ARM / x86_64).
I had to manually delete the "arm64ec-win" folder from within the \VST3\Pianoteq 9.vst3\Contents\ folder to prevent the two VST3 versions (ARM / x64) from being scanned in FL Studio as duplicate VST3 plugins.
Now, I need to figure out the location where it saved those unwanted NKS preview files to, to likewise delete them.
This is a bit of an atypical and unexpected "janky" installer from Modartt. It was never like this before from that developer, who I had become accustomed to expect better from their product installers in the past.
Their installers were always so clean pre-v9. Now, I need to do such manual post-installation maintenance and clean up? I hope they can change this for future updates.

However, the reason it doesn't let us upgrade to Studio 9 is because we already own Studio 8. Those options are intended for users of Stage, Standard, Pro to upgrade from a lower tier to that higher tier (Studio).
You just need to purchase the first 29 Euro option: "Upgrade any version to Pianoteq 9"
After your purchase, your account "Registered Products" area will remember you are a Studio Bundle user and show that you own Pianoteq Studio 9

The tone of the hammer/pluck/whatever transient is involved can now be modified (also via modulation) and there is a new x/y envelope for decay/cutoff which is very useful.

So the only instrument they added was the triple harp, but that was added to the existing harp pack. So I assume if I upgrade my 8 Studio, that will just show up?

It has a better soundboard model, so that should further increase realism.
