That's how it usually works - but I think this means you are just speculating based on how synths are usually updated - and you know it.

Riddle me this - when dune 3 and dune 2 came out - why was Dune 1 still being sold in the shop? Even after Dune 3 came out - Dune 1 was still being sold!

Incorrect. D1 was not being sold by SA after D3 was released in 2018.

Sigh... please don't tell me you came to this conclusion by the fact Dune 1 is not being sold currently on site... Are you just guessing or are you 100% sure - maybe you even spoke with Richard, the developer on this particular subject?

To my best recollection - it was around 2-3 years ago when Dune 1 was no longer possible to purchase from there site. I remember talking to Richard about it and he was kind enough to just give me a nfr version of it due to my concerns - that it'd be a shame to discontinue Dune 1 because Dune 3 does not 1 to 1 replace it.

Cute - my point is that Dune 1 cannot replace Dune 3 and this is so obviously the truth - even if the creator of the plugin says otherwise (which he didn't - you guys are reading into his words) doesn't negate the truth of that reality because these are facts and objective truths. No one is able to say otherwise - even from the horses mouth - is besides the point.

Instead of relying on anyone else, anyone can find the truth for themselves by opening up this two plugins.

Not sure why i'm trying to debate with someone who themselves say Dune 1 replaces Dune 3 yet still has all versions on there system - this is incoherent so why expect reason from incoherency. By there own logic there is no need to have all these version - or maybe just lazy, to each there own.

There was a VST that loaded both EZXs AND SDXs and had a rudimentary version of EZMix built in? And you could load multiple samples per pad, either from your Toontrack libraries or .wavs? And it behaved more like a sampler than a rompler? And we/they just LET IT DIE?

Yes - that one. Have a go at it - but now that i think on it - I believe I modifed that patch and it sounded incredibly dope - but could not get it to sound identical in Dune 3. I'll post the patch if I can remember, but not in this thread as it's off topic. Go to thread I made on this and I'll "proof" my point - though facts alone SHOULD be enough on this.

You should be ashamed of yourself. You are a 'sound designer' who sells soundsets... and you cannot reproduce this? Its (from last night's memory) a couple of saw waves, 24db filter and a touch of distortion/flanger. Took me 2 minutes to replicate it in D3.

I was hoping it was going to be a complex patch, a challenge, but no.
