hi,
i have a problem in a project that a sample when played without effects it has no crackling/clicks but i identified that it clicks when it is always at the same spot running as SEND Reverb thhrough Valhalla Vintage Verb and it is only the WET SEND Reverb Stem which always clicks on this spot:
Does anyone know what could cause this? my reverb settings are as follows and i send 89% to the SEND Reverb channel
thanks

Your dry/wet mix is not set to 100%. That's the first thing I would change.Caine123 wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 12:09 pm Does anyone know what could cause this? my reverb settings are as follows and i send 89% to the SEND Reverb channel

thanks, but isnt this the idea to decide yourself how much of the signal you want to send?

No, the dry/wet makes sense when used as insert effect. A send effect should always be 100% wet.Caine123 wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 12:28 pmthanks, but isnt this the idea to decide yourself how much of the signal you want to send?

If it's clicking you're sending the click sound in your send.
If the reverb responds you're input is what's causing it, it might be quiet until you add the verb.
It's not the verb causing the issue.
And yes always keep send effects at 100% wet, you then use the return fader to control the amount of verb needed.
Good luck.

CPU overload?
You can check if it is that by bypassing all other plugins.
If it is the prob then you will have no crackle when you have only 1 audio track sending to
VintageVerb while all other plugins are bypassed (don't use any CPU).

Maybe make sure your video drivers and whatnot are up to date. I’ve seen that
cause crackling. Did you try increasing
your audio buffer size to see if the crackling goes away? At least as a troubleshoot.

Without having the original channel, to listen side by side it is difficult.Caine123 wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 1:06 pmthx i maximized the volume and cannot hear a click i also opened it in Izotope RX and there is no indication as wellDirk Diggler wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 1:02 pm If it's clicking you're sending the click sound in your send.

Have you tried changing the mode and/or color of VintageVerb?
Is there anything else being send to the VintageVerb?

I don't really know FL Studio but maybe the plugin is sleeping if it's not receiving audio for a while and then wake up with clicks since it didn't clear the previous audio stream. Maybe try turning auto-sleep off for this plugin if it's possible in FL options.

Is there any automation or modulation of Size happening?
That (unfortunately) is the one parameter on Valhalla reverbs that can make audible noises.

If you can't hear any evidence of clicks on the original track, then something else is being sent.
Check your effects buss.
Double check all tracks that you are not accidentally sending something percussive to the verb.
Drums or percussion is where to start.
And as mentioned above make sure you're not accidentally sending the verb any midi information.

So this might be the right suggestion...xx JPRacer xx wrote: Fri Oct 17, 2025 12:12 am I don't really know FL Studio but maybe the plugin is sleeping if it's not receiving audio for a while and then wake up with clicks since it didn't clear the previous audio stream. If "Smart disable" is activated for VVV it could cause these problems...
