Hey BCA Team,

I'm a convinced user of Remote CTRL and I have to say, "MIDI Learn Once" is a very good idea and makes the workflow much easier.
:phones:

(a print funktion of all made assignments would still be wonderful too)

Thanks! Glad that you like it!

For printing, maybe you can simply open the "All Controls Settings" windows and take a screenshot of all assignments?

Thx, but the 64 assignments don't all fit on there, but I can create a small clip with the Win Snipping Toolfor capturing all. I'd also like to edit the presets...

What do you mean? In fact you would like to be able to export then re-import the settings as a text-based preset, wouldn't you?

Post

I'm only exporting it to have an overview of all the assigned MIDI CCs. For the Z3TA+2 setup, I have 7 panels, and that's a lot of connections. With around 230 VST parameters, it's easy to lose track...
And multiple assignments can be very frustrating.

You could also offer the Remote Control plugin as a tool (companion software) that finally gives names and content to all the unlabeled buttons and knobs on the countless hardware MIDI controllers around the world. The text field is unfortunately a bit small, but it allows you to immediately see what you're controlling...

I own the Arturia BeatStep Pro MIDI controller, and it's indeed possible to assign 16 control levels with all-in-all 16x48 assignments. I tried to create a precise BC Remote Control Matrix (QMIL?) so I could see which command I was currently executing on, say, level 12 / knob 17, but I couldn't get it to work with QMIL. Now I've put it together in Paint.

Currently working on a new preview that should help you do that quickly without coding...

It's about to be released, but you may want to have a look at the latest preview already. It's packed with new features and improvements, like another plug-in :-). You should be able to do your own skin that fits your needs easily now!
