RIP. I'll tell you a funny story. Back in the day Marvel did a KISS magazine. It wasn't a comic book, but it wasn't a graphic novel, but ever the carnival barker Stan Lee promoted it as having actual blood of KISS band members mixed into the ink. I read a hysterical interview with Gene Simmons about how they did that. Thank you for the music.

As a kid, I watched the KISS TV show--the band members all had super powers. I remember playing with my neighbors outside, in the fall, with piles of leaves all over our yard, and we pretended to be the band members, with the superpowers, diving into leaf piles and making sound effects and wielding our powers. I always had to be Ace; I thought he was tough and cool looking--and I love laser fingers. It's interesting how my perspective on what tough looks like changed as I aged. Still, RIP Ace. You rocked.
