Distortion: Is something wrong with my Serum?

Hi! I'm trying to follow a simple TWO-step tutorial I saw on YouTube (link below) that's supposed to add a lot of distortion to a monotonous sound in Serum, but it just doesn't work when I apply it, and I can't find an explanation.
Would someone help me? Can you try it yourself to see if the sound match the one on the video? In my case, all I get is a tiny, barely perceptible distortion. I don't know if it's relevant, but I use FL Studio, I have no idea where to start looking for a solution.

Step 1: Choose the same basic analog waveform on both oscillators and shift one of them up four octaves:

Step 2: Step 2: Activate the Distortion option in the FX tab and turn the drive up to maximum:

It's supposed to sound like is shown in this video:

OK put osc 1 two octaves down and osc 2 two octaves down so
Osc1: -2
Osc2: +2

He's probably using a keyboard and you're using your pc/laptop keyboard so you need to press 2 octaves lower

I could see from the video what he was doing so I thought I'd replicate it.
As soon as I saw that he left OSC 1 at 0 then I know on my pc-keyboard
that it wont be a "bass" sound.
So a simple shift 2 octaves down on both oscillators will fix that.

I'm surprised he didn't automatically do that in the video but when you have a full keyboard in front of you you mi8ght not realize most people work on laptops.

Yeah, what guy above said, you could always also just play lower notes in your piano roll/midi keyboard.
