I think it sounds much more refined than Utopia, and much cleaner sounding than Adaptiverb

Yes the developer said on YouTube maybe they should have called it the first modal reverb...but they didn't know this already existed in Moodal...Temperance's is more intuitive using notes as moodal requires setting the frequency and inharmonicity slider....but yeah the main use case to me seemed to be in the vein of what adaptiverb was attempting...but until it is driven by midi like adaptiverb don't know how well it will work...don't know if midi input is added to the pro versionkraster wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 2:41 pmIt really does sound like a modal/comb filter bank into some kind of reverb. Maybe some kind of FDN.Ah_Dziz wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 1:58 pm Kinda nifty, but not really worth the CPU cycles. One can get very very similar effects and with more control, by putting a resonator on a send and then feeding that into some reverb. Or into a spectral smearing effect and then into a reverb. Or lots of other things.
The emphasis of notes in the "room modes" sounds pretty heavyhanded at most positive settings. Having the feedback network notch out a set of notes seems like it could very easily be a great tool for mixing.
It would be very cool to have this support mts esp for nonstandard tunings. I'll check out the full version when it's available for sure.
You can get a similar effect with ADPTR Utopia but that's not as heavy handed as this.
Music had a one night stand with sound design.....And the condom broke

I bet the pro version will be added to the Anthology in the end, and any anthology
users will wind up with duplicate lics in after upgrading and have spent the money for nothing more than early access. Just like they did in the past with the transient splitter.
