Nope. You didn't ask that.
mambo888 wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 2:37 pmNow if the analog modelling would be at the next level, with unheard detail and accuracy never seen before, that would be a different perspective.
That's not a question, that's a statement saying that you'd have a different opinion if the "unheard detail and accuracy never seen before..." was there. It's sort of a paradox, because it it's not been seen before, then it most likely does not exist.

Back on topic, neither one of these instruments displays audible artifacts when doing the kinds of modulation that often trips up older software. Since Anthem isn't an emulation of any synth, and I've never played a hardware Proxima, I can not really speak about the accuracy of the emulation, but I can assure you that in a general sense, the level of analog emulation on both of these is top notch.

Also the standard should be 2 filters and various filter types. I care about how good the filter sounds that is important to me, I don’t believe in hardware synths anymore that is not up to a Yamaha Modx or Montage, imho all hardware synths should be multi-timbral.
Sounds like you should actually try Dune 3 instead.

Plus, the other plugins can be Polymax, Opal, and Moog Minimoog. I love Proxima but for someone who can only get one synth, that bundle is clearly the way to go.
better have one synth like Proxima than tones of sht :hihi:

But not really if that one synth only has 2 oscillators. What would the argument be to favour it over the UAD Minimoog?

I’ve never even used a synth like you mentioned. I’ve known Synapse for a long time - it’s one of the best soft-synth companies, and even two oscillators can beat any set of ten oscillators :D. The best example is Moog Muse, which sounds like a heavenly synth.

I would probably put Softube ahead in terms of analog synth emulation. I tried the Proxima demo and it seems fine. I like Synapse stuff because it appears to be very efficiently coded: light on resources and smooth in operation, and sounds very good. But I don't think they're ahead in the emulation game.
