The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I ever had.

f**k that, gimme the 80s any day
The only thing I ever hear going out is old music. Got a sandwich for lunch today and it was 100% yacht rock, including the song that gave the genre its name: Sailing by Christopher Cross. I’ve had soft rock and adult contemporary music shoved down my throat my whole life to the point I never listen to the radio.

Have you tried a different station?

kritikon wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 6:26 pm I did that with mine - made a little wooden angled upright stand to rack it in. Was good fun honing my carpentry skills, but took me several times to get it right. I reckon the MS20 got it right in terms of angle and design for the control, so I made the 2600 rack the same angle as the MS20. TBH everything else on the MS20 is also better, so I use that instead :hihi:

It's odd B didn't make a dedicated stand/rack for the 2600, as they released various Eurorack holders and those angled triple stands for their units like Wasp, Pro1, K2 etc which I really like.

Damnit B! Why don't you make a dedicated stand for your meh synths that I don't use? Might make them a little less meh.
You need a wooden overlay :hihi:

You can’t change the station in stores, in restaurants, in malls… It doesn’t sound like you have any idea.

You didn't specifically say the music was coming from the shop, so no, no idea.

Try being clearer.

I love yacht rock. I wonder if that place also plays "Aurthur's Theme" by Christopher Cross. And Escape (Pina Colada) Rupert Holmes

I would have preferred to have seen the Pro-16 or UB-X than BMX.

Post

BMX? Damn it B! Why are you making bicycles when you should be concentrating on music gadgets.

Ugh. I'm trying to imagine a vintage music product that I want less. Of all the things that software just does better, the list starts with crappy vintage drum sample based vintage drum machines.

Post

I suppose it was inevitable that they were going to get into drum machines, but I'm with you. Not a single one of them makes me in any way the slightest bit moist. I still might buy an RD9 but TBH I know I'm being a nostalgic moron with that idea. FFS even Cubase has decent drums and stuff way better in it. I never liked Prince etc first time around, so I sure don't want to sound like his drummer 30 years later. I just find them cheesy. Which is an insult to cheese, because I like cheese. So, more like knobcheese than dairy cheese. Damn it B, I don't want drumbeats made out of knobcheese.

I'll get me coat...
