In the tonnetz window, one note is always selected and there is no way to delete it. Is it possible to select notes by left clicking and delete notes by right clicking in that window?
In many cases, I want the tonnetz window to be completely empty without selecting even a single note, but that is not possible because there is always at least one note in it.
Or, when you right-click on the tonnetz window, all selected notes be deleted.
Would you please consider this in your future beta? I really need it. Thanks for your great effort!

Hello shiningstarswwsj,
thank you for your suggestions and kind words! The mock-up screenshot looks amazing BTW. I don't know how you did it but I'll attempt to recreate it in RapidComposer.
I have good news. Today I added several things: muting variations in all tracks, copying variations to all other tracks, muting MIDI CCs in all tracks and copying MIDI CCs to all other tracks:

This was quick to implement, your other requests will require more time.
Thanks!
Attila

I am not sure I can do this. The problem is there must be always a valid chord, even if it has only a single note. I'll think about it, maybe it makes sense to have a chord without a note, but why would anyone want that?foster911 wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 7:41 pm In the tonnetz window, one note is always selected and there is no way to delete it. The fact is that I want to move freely between notes. The presence of a note prevents fast movement. Fast motion is prevented by a note that is always present.
Because with a change you have to delete the existing note, which takes time. Something that would have been possible to select more quickly and accurately if there wasn't even a single note.
I would be very grateful if you could do this. That's all I ask of you. Thanks!

Just an idea - maybe this 'tool' can always be presented initially as if in a 'bypass' mode and only comes out of that when you click on your first note of choice..? How you would progress from there though, I don't know; I'm not a 'fan' of it myself (I don't properly understand it or what use I can get out of it if I'm honest...musicdevelopments wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 4:41 pm I am not sure I can do this. Would it be acceptable if right-clicking on a note would select that note and deselect all other notes? So you don't have to deselect anything to start building a new chord. Just let me know, this is a 1-minute fix.foster911 wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 6:08 pm The fact is that I want to move freely between notes. The presence of a note prevents fast movement. What I want is selecting individual notes with a left click and deleting them all with just a right click.musicdevelopments wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 8:00 amWould it be acceptable if right-clicking on a note would select that note and deselect all other notes? If you open the Virtual Keyboard on RC' s main page, you can see that by left-clicking, notes are selected or deselected, and with each left-click on each note, a combination is formed. Then when you right-click on that opened keyboard, all your selections are removed and the Virtual Keyboard becomes completely empty, as if no notes were selected.
I want exactly this on the Tonnetz window. That is, the left-click is responsible for selecting or deselecting notes, and the right-click is responsible for deleting all selected notes.
To put it briefly, in the Tonnetz window, left-clicking does the same task you defined before, without any changes, but right-clicking only clears all selections and the Tonnetz window would be completely empty.

OK, I implemented using right-clicking to clear all notes in v6.0.1. Also, Ctrl-click on a note will deselect all other notes. I am not sure if you agree, but I think it would be useful to show scale tones (green) and non-scale tones (red) in the Tonnetz.
Thanks,
Attila

Thank you very much for this change (left and right clicks). You can add another mode. For example, Shift + left or right click clears the previous notes and select only a new single note. Suppose you have selected note C and now you move the mouse pointer to note D, then by Shift + left-clicking, note C will be de-selected and note D will be selected instead. This method is good for creating melodies. That is, you deactivate the old single notes with Shift + left click and select the new note instead (So important). You can even define a task for the middle mouse button (wheel).musicdevelopments wrote: Sat Oct 25, 2025 10:37 am OK, I implemented using right-clicking to clear all notes in v6.0.1. Please don't forget to deselect all notes by left-clicking, because when there is only one note selected in the Tonnetz window, there is no way to clear that one note by left-clicking.
To dynamically implement these tasks for different mouse buttons, you can define all possible states for all mouse buttons in the Settings...>Miscellaneous section so that users have more flexible ways to select and deselect notes for all mouse modes. Of course, this depends on your own decisions.
And as for the color, maybe more colors would be a bit confusing. Tonnetz window is a large window, the more contrasting the colors chosen, the more it bothers the eyes, and it's better to keep the current situation. In my opinion, the current situation doesn't bother the eyes and doesn't cause confusion.
One more question. I am no longer able to download the new beta version with the link you sent me in PM. Has the download link for the new beta version changed? If it has, could you please send me the new download link? Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback, foster911!
Before you mentioned, I made Ctrl-click to select a new note and deselect all other notes.
There is no beta version right now, I'll upload v6.0.1 with these improvements on Monday (27 October). That will be the latest version. I am reworking the low-level UI engine, and this takes long, so there won't be any beta versions for a few weeks.
Thanks,
Attila

Regarding the left-click, when only one note remains on the Tonnetz window, left-clicking itself is not able to delete it.
If possible, also provide the ability to delete the last remaining selected single note with just a left click.
For example, suppose only the note C is selected and left-clicking cannot delete it. If possible, provide the ability to delete the note C with a left-click.
Thanks!

Dear foster911,
there is no new beta version (at the moment the UI engine is being reworked which takes weeks) but you can already download v6.0.1 which has improvements for Tonnetz (right-clicking clears all notes, Ctrl-click on a note deselects all other notes)
Thanks,
Attila

You implemented exactly what was discussed. Everything works fine. There's just one small problem:
In the Tonnetz window (inside the For Chord Progression tab), when no notes are selected and the page is blank, when you click on the + sign to insert the chord on the "Add Line" on top of that page, basically nothing should be added because the page is blank but an empty rectangle appears, indicating that there is no note at that moment.
I think it would be best to disable the + sign when no note is selected to prevent the empty rectangle from appearing. Because the empty rectangle is added on the selection line and when dragging selected chords from Tonnetz onto the chord line in the main RC window, incorrect notes are displayed in the empty chord location.
I think the best way is what I said. If no note is selected in the Tonnetz window, the + sign should be inactive. Of course, try any method you see fit for this issue.
Of course, it should be considered in such a way that right-clicking on the + sign for automatic selection of chords is not sacrificed. Because selecting the chords by right-clicking on the + sign is a good thing and should not be removed.
Thanks so much!
