Are we getting anywhere close to beta status?

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Closer. More than 80 nightly built this single month.
Some weeks ago it was tagged as ALPHA.
Feature list is still getting complete.

It's been used on released records already! Although the person who did that of course bounced to stems. It's not *that* stable.
While there's a lot missing it is already an interesting instrument. I'm literally working on it now actually adding some more of the features. Last 2 months we knocked off a lot of the "things we don't know how to do" and so now theres lots of typing and lots of unfinished stuff but the architecture is coming together and we are getting first versions of most features. I just added rudimentary missing sample resolution the other day, for instance.
But remember, it's free and it's a hobby. The one rule is 'no deadlines'. So if i put a date here and you come back and say "you said it would be ready by x" then I will block you after I make fun of you for not reading this. But with that caveat we really do expect a mature beta of 1.0 this year. And we already are maintaining streaming version stability from the August 1 point when we make changes. Those are all things that made us call it alpha.

Oh and: all the action is on our discord. If you really want to be engaged in how it comes together that's the best place to chat. Things move fast and there's several devs working on it so that's how we coordinate.

It's still not in official beta so some caution is to be exercised.
You are of course free to try it out and send us feedback, bug and crash reports!

It's a sampler. It has features. It does things.

It's there a volunteer list somewhere? Or, do I just dive into the bug list? I might be able to help on some things.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?
