Website working at the moment (when I started writing this anyway), but I have no idea what to get.

I have/got:
MODO Bass 2
T-Racks 6 Pro
Amplitube
Tonex
Miroslav (Satan) Philharmonic 2

I have a lot of Pianos, and drums. Is there any consensus on which T-Racks modules, MODO Bass instruments, Pianoverse instruments, etc. are the standouts? I'll probably just end up getting a bunch of Amplitube/Tonex stuff.

ARC-X is well worth grabbing as it is excellent for room correction. You will need to borrow or buy a suitable mic, but the Behringer which will do a reasonable job is pretty cheap.

Yes of course. That's exactly what I did. If you check against a polarity flipped version of original signal the residue is anywhere between -60 and -55dBFS.. and I can hear that something is "off" with the signal. Probably a rounding error or something with the volume sliders / internal gain staging. Even if you type it all in numerically.

Ok I get it now!
Trying out a null test on my side the only difference I can see is that I can get the residue to sit between -95 and -85 dBFS when balancing input and output.
Still no Null though...
And no clue what's going on...

I have T-racks 5 MAX v2, should I pick T-racks 6 Pro or T-racks 6 Pro update?
Maybe there is no difference since they are not resaleable if I remember

Which plugins should I add to get the equivalent of T-RackS 6 MAX? I can't find the difference between versions

It's hard to find but go to the t-racks product page and there should be an option to compare versions. then below the versions it should list what's included in each version. I think The Pro version has 23 fewer modules than the Max version iirc.

Forgot about the ARC-X, got that and MODO Drums now. Website working atm although the IK Manager struggled for a while.

for TRacks the sandouts are: the tapes, the Fame and Sunset reverbs, Saturator X, Dyna Mu, the Bus comp, the Precision Comp/lim, the Leslie and some of the newer stuff like the Spring reverb.

Pick T-Racks 6 Pro (not the update)

Get the following plugins :
- Bass One
- Triad Chorus
- Quad Saturator
- Lurssen Mastering EQ
- Prism Reverb

The rest of your T-Racks 5 Max plugins will automatically be on V6 after installation, so you don't need the updated versions, only the new ones. And then you'll have the equivalent of T-Racks 6 Max.

Does the Amplitude 5 deal at Plugin Boutique for $29.99 still work to allow you to add up to 49 free plugins that sell for $199.99 or less in this All In Group Buy sale? Or was that a loophole that has since been closed?

It is the impulse captures from the real amps or distortion pedals. It isn't component modelling. Serious guitarists really like the captures. An impulse won't have all the amp features of the regular amplitube stuff but if the capture is done well and you find the setting you want , it will be indistinguishable from the real deal for most of us mortals. You can load it up as the amp module in the Amplitube 5 and still use the rest of the Amplitube engine. If you are familiar with the Kemper it is the same idea. Try it out that way and I think your ears will find it to be impressive.

none of the - mind you: official - Tonex models I tried were anything to write home about at all...
they certainly neither can hold a candle to ICM (Guitar Rig) nor to State Space (Ampire) - heck, not even to the old Nembrini amps (PA) - and what makes it especially laugheable is that there's better counterparts to every one in tried right there in Amplitube... but now I know I'm not a "serious guitarrist" (whatever exactly that means), so thanks for the heads up.
