you should see this if you choose pay without stripe. It can be that the old payment page is still in your browser cache.

Windows:

Ctrl + Shift + R on windows should give you the correct page.
(Alternatively, you can use Ctrl + F5)

On Mac

Chrome, Firefox, and most other browsers:
Command + Shift + R

Safari:
Command + Option + R
(Alternatively, you can hold down the Shift key and click the refresh button in the toolbar.)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I've added the reverse sample to the code, shift click the the selection in the waveform and the selection plays reversed. and then it sounds like this .. I'm sure many of you can make something more interesting, but hey I'm just a developer 🙂 . Download at www.beatforge.nl . expect many more updates.

for this update, i've added triplets. right-click the trackname and you'll see the new GRID option. set to 8T to get 12 steps instead of 16.

then you can do stuff like this. I remade an Infected Mushroom beat for the video.

Enjoy ! keep the suggestions coming, it's all very helpful.

In case you think BeatForge only plays samples, it can do far more then that, this is your multitool for live or studio.

Here I set it up to sequence the great TR-808 tribute, the Behringer RD-8 . to set it up like this : set midi direction to output, channel to 10 (default for RD-808) pick the right midi note for each track and you can do this :

no samples or sound from BeatForge this time, it's only doing the sequencing.

As you can see. I've also added polymeters, alt-click or option click a stepbutton and that becomes the endpoint for the track the bar you'r on and each track loops around that endpoint.

Just pushed an update to the Mac version of BeatForge — it now loads REX files.
You can drag in a loop, and there’s a new button up top that lets you export the corresponding MIDI.

If you set that BeatForge track’s MIDI input and channel to match the midi, it’ll trigger and play back perfectly. You can then move the MIDI notes around, rearrange slices, etc.

Right now the step buttons don’t do anything for REX-loaded tracks (yet), but that’ll come later — they will be able to play midi sequences.

Sorry for the windows users, didn't have enough time to set up the Rex framework for that too. You'll have to wait a little longer.

Love the new mixer and general improvements in the latest version Paul, great stuff. :tu:

just finished adding a complete TR-808 in the synth, this was nervewrecking to get done, but a few months later, not seeing sunlight, liters of coffee, blown speakers and eardrums, here we are . example at

Sounds fantastic, Paul.

Thanks :) I'm going to continue with the 909.

The beauty about the synths is they sound much better pitch shifted, well they aren't pitch shifted, the oscillators and filters are set up to play at different frequencies when you turn the pitch knob, or when you put in a melody at the bottom for the selected track.

then you get something like this :

Sounds great! Can you extend the trial so we can test the new features?

Post

Awesome!

Post

Thanks, if anyone needs their trial restarted let me know. Next up will be the 909 sounds.

If it's not too much trouble, it would probably be good to have volume controls on the synth section. That way users won't have to constantly switch back to the mix window after making adjustments. Alternately, make the volume and pan always visible, then move the FX Send and Phase to the FX window.

That ^^^
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

of course :) I should put those in front and make the track header look like a daw track header with volume, pan, solo, mute, and phase buttons there. great tip. I'm going to work.
