Oooh this is beautiful.
Right up my street.
Tired it for about five minutes and bought it. It's very lush in a kind of understated way,
The different pitch modes are fantastic. Reminds me a little of Sugarbytes Aparillo in some way. (Although that's an FM synth)

Judging by the blurbs on their site and their screenshots, it looks like moonbase offers a way to do public-private key signature fully offline licensing checks, without challenge&response. I'll pay 3x ($150 USD) for a version of Sine Machine that uses this method instead of online/challenge&response activation (which I won't touch at all.)sudara wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 10:09 pm They do make offline auth easy, but I made the mistake of using my own custom UI for everything, so I'll have to root around and cook up another couple screens, test everything, etc.

I made a Bitwig remote controls mapping for the CLAP version (mapped all 36 harmonics just for fun)

NB in Bitwig I can add as many LFOs as I want but it would be nice to have some internal ones to add some movement to the harmonics in less capable hosts

Yeah, additive into distortion has been a secret sauce patch for me in Eurorack.JO512 wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:52 pm I like this pristine by itself, but I am also finding that it yields some amazing sounds with distortion!

What do you use for the distortion effect?

In Euro? Lacrima Versio or Blades' drive/wavefolder usually, or I push Strega's input too hard, or even Beads. Or a feedback patch with just Shades to make it clip.
For distortion plugins for Sine Machine, I haven't tried many combinations yet but I like Cyberdrive Core for its versatility -- different combinations of harmonics and different dynamics call for different types of distortion. It's the first time I've actually liked any of the "Modern" models in that
plugin.
[EDIT: Ruina and Runciter are both really good with it too.]

This is exactly the sort of innovative instrument that I feel I should purchase if for no other reason than because I want this to be a world in which people can make money making interesting new creative tools and experiences. I love the usual basic stuff, the nice VA synths like Diva, the super-synths like Phase Plant or Serum 2, but there is a special place for instruments like this one that bring us something unique and different. We should support such things!

Yeah, looks/sounds way too cool to resist. Will def be picking this up.
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

No need to be too in a hurry I think, there's not even a way to modify the activation
from 'demo' at this point. This is another Moonbase protected product btw...

Did twist a bit more, need note with some actions can be very heavy for CPU though.
But that very setting\action dependently (can say, fortunately).
Also did notice that eating seems more expressed at lower octaves (under C0, but where turn out quite tasty things imo).
For example, preset Pluck\sloppy plucks - if try to perform sort of quick bass arpeggio via mouse, (inside C0 - C-1 range) can catch core clipping pretty quick.
Whereas the same action within C3-C2 will eat no more than 30-33%.
Whereas, with active "mono" mode (in section Voices), in heawy C0\C-1 - no more than 10%.
So perhaps not so critical, but would like to hope for some headroom for optimize (at least for low octaves).
Additionally, not found if where can restrict amount of voices ? (not unisson voices, but in general). If this does not contradict for instrument design\engine, ofcourse.
