The ReasonTalk forum seems like the place to discuss all things Reason. Unfortunately registration there seems to be broken. If any of you are a member at ReasonTalk maybe you can report the issue? I world report it, but the forum doesn't have any admin contact information available. The message at the bottom of the registration page is: This site key is not enabled for the invisible captcha.

Also, it looks like the issue was mentioned here in September, but there was no response in the thread. Maybe it got missed by the forum admin.

I was going to highlight this for you but it would appear they are aware.

That place sucks anyway... A few years ago I responded to a thread whilst signing up & when next I tried going to the site I found I was banned permanent by IP... The only thing I had mentioned was using a rather old version of Reason... I have seen others account of strange bannings as well... Piss on that place you are better off...

Post

I was banned there years ago for direct criticism. Extremely oversensitive moderators there. I also don't like the new design they introduced months ago at all anymore.

Post

I was also banned. For mild criticism.

Thanks. Sounds like captcha integration got them boxed in.

@Everyone else. That sounds frustrating. Maybe some Reason discussion here would be better going.

Is this the Propellerheads site? My virus scan will not let me even go there.

Nah this is reasontalk forum not reason studios site.

Propellerheads closed their forum quite a few years ago. ReasonTalk isn't an official Reason forum. It would be nice to have a place to talk about Reason, though. I guess a thread here would serve ok for that.

They had a tutorial I really wanted to see, 2 actually.

I'm wondering myself if they moved their tutorials from the Propellerheads site to the Reason Studios site. I dropped off from Reason at version 6, picking it back up recently at version 13, and a lot of the changes were surprising to me, other than the Propellerheads forum being closed, which I remember happening. There doesn't seem to be much community around Reason these days. I would think that Reason Studios would at least establish a forum section at KVR.

That's your management perspective, which is indeed very logical.

A management perspective like yours would also work 1. with external hardware companies, 2. respond to the basic wishes of their long-time users, 3. promote their own product more instead of other DAWs (plugin), and so on. It's simply mismanagement, as the basic functions and fundamental communication have been lacking for a long time.

Hopefully, the new CEO will bring these with them.

A lot about current Reason seems nuts. One example being the Propellerheads brand being tossed out. That seems baffling to me. But this discussion is probably better suited to the 'CEO' thread.

On the topic of a place for Reason discussion, I am seeing the ReasonHeads forum which looks like it has been around for some years and is going to waste. It looks like it is just lacking an active community of Reason users to make it worthwhile. After a little looking around there, the owner of that forum - Heigen5, I presume - looks to be a longtime Reason user, and he is a member of ReasonTalk. There is a forum section there called Garbage Can 3 (maybe not the best name for guests) where non-registered guests can post. Maybe we could drop a post there and see if enough users stop by to make things looks interesting. Any experiences from anyone here with that forum or the owner?

By the way, a hint to the question for making a guest post at ReasonHeads is: one word, starts with Ref.

Reasonheads site is quiet from my experience and not many people post there (which is a shame as heiki is a good man). Reasonheads also has a radio station that used to play reason songs. Reasontalk is probably the most used site for discussion but they also have a discord that was fairly busy. Seems lots of change at reason with the ceo leaving and am aware Ryan Harlin no longer works for them hence the new presenter for osmium video.
