You are wrong, they get plenty of updates, more than U-He in my experience.enCiphered wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 8:23 pmI could be wrong, but I don’t remember GForce being very active with frequent updates for their older plugins either, so that might explain how they can push new ones out more quickly.
This guy's look is even more ridiculous/stereotypical than that woman's. He is impossible to take seriously, especially has his script reads like a marketing blurb.db3 wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 6:25 pm GF just send this email:
"Okay, cards on the table: our promo video clearly didn’t highlight the sound or capabilities of MAP well (or even at all!) … Luckily, Vulture Culture has it covered, so now you can actually hear MAP in action."

It's interesting how people instinctively reach for their mental defaults, stereotypes and buzzwords when they're desperate to be negative.Danilo Villanova wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 3:39 pm the tattooed influencer who clearly has no musical talent?
I've never heard of this woman before (and the plugin itself is super uninteresting to me) but she appears to have no Youtube channel, a very small Instagram and generally appears to be a working, touring musician.
How does that equate to "influencer"?

It's the human condition. Remember the story about the Redditor who wrote sloppy code on purpose to get people to correct her? She basically got all the knee jerk correctors to do her work for her.miloszz wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 10:44 pm It's interesting how people instinctively reach for their mental defaults, stereotypes and buzzwords when they're desperate to be negative.

I once got arrested by the karma police for talking in maths and buzzing like a fridge. Hmmmm...initially was put off by mention of wavetables and ignored it, but just watched that vid and it's obvs more than that. My thing is mostly analogue, but I've got nothing against digital if it's unique/character. It looks like it can do some quite weird stuff, esp with the FM thing going on. Even the effects look a bit more interesting than the usual. I think I should demo it and give it a good go. Something quite different from GForce at last, well done lads. It could be up my street. Yeah it sounds quite digital on first listen, but powerful digital, not the usual thin/metallic crap. Especially not the usual metallic thin wavetabley crap.
Could be the first VSTi that's interested me in a quite a while, since Wavestate/Opsix I think. Nice to see GForce getting interesting again. And yeah, they really did f*** up with the first vid. But fixed it quick, so again, well done.

All the other GF synths looks better to me, but it's cool that they are moving away from emulations from the past.

I feel bad for Eeonaa and Sam Eaton. Imagine doing the video only for GForce to describe it as a 'f**k up' that doesn't demonstrate the synth 'well or at all' the next day in an email to all their customers. The blame is firmly with the All We Do creative team that they hired to produce the video, and whoever watched it and gave the OK.

It kinda reminded of an Arturia promo.
Which is not bad by itself, just a bit unusual for GForce and what I imagine their userbase to be.
I thought that ad choice was deliberate though, trying to appeal to a wider crowd of producers.
It didn't really affect my perception of the synth, which seems pretty nice to me.

Another very cramped looking interface.
Saw a couple of videos. Didn't think much of the sounds the experts were saying were cool.
