My concept this month was to use both of my keyboards (I now have 2!) - to their respective strengths.
I used the fully weighted piano controller (Roland FP-10) for very velocity sensitive sounds - like percussion. And I also did fast wild lead breaks with lots of pitch/mod bend (lighter keys and pitch bend on Roland A-70).

Another synth that could have used a month for sound design/learning curve then a month for composition. Considering how unconventional this synth can sound I went very conventional, but that''s how the zebra scat falls sometimes...

As others have stated, given the depth of this synth, I could've spent a whole month on sound design with another month for the track. Given the time constraint, I restricted myself to what my ignorance could produce and the result is this. Definitely more rhythmic than melodic, possibly a bit harsh in places. Once again the title has little to do with the content although, being tortoise adjacent, perhaps imagine a smallish tortoise has managed to get one of your toes in his mouth and won't let go...

This was started in Tracktion Waveform Pro but the many crashes made me move to Bitwig again and the seemingly more stable Clap version of Zebralette. A paltry eight instances of Zebralette and the following additional plugins:

- dpMeter5, Blue Cat Gain3 and KClip Zero for clip to zero duties

- Mastering the Mix LEVELS and NI Tonal Balance Control to supplement my dodgy ears

Percussion MIDI initially generated in Modalics Beat Scholar and pasted into Bitwig. All other MIDI was either programmed or played 'live'. Arps from my Exquis.

Are you saying you only used those plugs? or other stock plugs? If just those 3, you should be A-OK. If there are others, you should list each unique plugin name.

200 OSCs... wow!

My submission is below. 50 instances of Zebralette 3. All delays, reverbs, fx, modulations, automations were done with Zebralette 3 itself. Logic Pro built in FX for gain staging and EQ, Lim 6 on the master but only like a dB or 2 among friends after the mix was done. a 20% setting on OTT used on one of the bass sounds. let the synth guide my sound design entirely.

synthesis concept is insanely cool. the additive engine almost exclusively used by me and some good in the can presets. with a little more time and a few more oscillators i think real world sound emulation is entirely in reach with this style of synthesis. unreal. with a modern set of filters this thing would be lethal. white nz was... interesting to figure out.

Made in Renoise with 27 instances of Zebralette 3. Built-in EQ5 used on each track, some tracks with Compressor. Percussion bus has Bus Compressor, and master bus has two instances of Bus Compressor for glue and limiting. All native DAW FX.
