Yep. Same here. The place sucks, the new theme sucks big time. No wonder Ryan left :hihi:

FYI, that forum is HEAVILY affected and directed by RS in the background. I know this for a fact from a former employee. You can take this as a rumor, of course, call me baloney, or "trust me bro." I will not mention names, but let's not pretend Reason Studios does not have a part in it because they do.

Yes it looks terrible, but we all know that RS won't listen to users wishes and criticism. See new device. Even it looks great, but who needed a multi distortion effect right now? You can archieve it very easy with a combinator.

My response was to someone asking if we were talking about rs own site (as in confirming the site we were talking about. In response to baloney I don't think it is and fully expect there is a relationship between reasontalk and rs. This can be confirmed by the fact some reasontalk mods design presets for rs devices. Personally I have never had an issue with reasontalk but we all have different lived experiences.

RT is the only significant place to talk about Reason. It’s a great site to ask, learn, enjoy. You have to see it as a relaxing place where critics aren’t allowed because it’s a kind of « fanboyish » forum. It’s partly administered by people who earn money from their implication in the Reason ecosystem. And why not ? There are so many other places on the web (fb, insta, …, kvr !) where you can express your « anger » or you can just keep it for you since RS don’t listen to their users (as many companies do if you read forums about other brands) and music should be pleasure in 1st place.

Personally, I don't want to be a member of a forum where I feel like I'm walking on eggshells, weighing whether I might easily get banned without warning. That sounds like a boring echo-chamber. If you've ever seen MulHolland Drive:

I don't get the impression that ReasonHeads will be like that.

Maybe someone wants to jump in over there, talking about Thor vs. analog synths / emulations. https://www.reasonheads.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=892

The rest of the Reason community are on Facebook, there are 18.3 thousand users in one group on there. There are communities where people talk about Reason other than RT and KVR. Real communities without bots include:

Gearspace
https://gearspace.com/board/propellerhead-reason

VIControl 'Your DAW' (Any DAW)
https://vi-control.net/community/forums/your-daw.47

There is also Quora where you can post questions on Reason.

I don't ever see myself being a Facebook user. And it doesn't look like there is much discussion going on at Gearspace or VI-Control about Reason. Maybe that is because of the current state of Reason, with there being a big loss of interest in Reason due to Reason Studios' current business model?

Maybe create a thread about it here instead, or post it in one of the recent Reason threads. There isn't much happening in the DAW world right now, many are waiting for a deal to perhaps jump ship. Many have instead invested in VST's or actual real synthesizers like myself recently.

I've never seen a whinier user base. If you don't like Reason or the way they "do business" - move tf on already! If you need markers and track folders and whatever else - there's like a dozen other DAWs that have them. Check one of them out! Or, spend a few more years griping about how Reason Studios sucks.

Their new distortion device is really good, btw

You seem to be the only member here who is upset. It's just daw talk. Probably good not to take any of it personally.

People can and do hold varying opinions, and that's just life. On the positive side from me I'm using Reason for what I bought the upgrade for. My situation for upgrading is likely a minority exception, though. On the negative side it's pretty easy to recognize how things have long began turning for former Propellerheads, and how it doesn't look so good for Reason's future. I can't imagine that being a shock to anyone at this point and why sayng it would upset anyone now.

Post

How clever to turn it on me - "I'm not upset! You are!"

I don't take it personally. It's just the same handful of people complaining in this thread that it is in any other Reason thread here. I don't get why one would complain about something for years and not just move on. :bang:

Edit: I'm in a really bad mood today. Just ignore me! :ud:
