I had the MS-20 FS reissue in white. It sounded great!
The keybed is utterly terrible though...

You know what would be REALLY AWESOME Korg? If you would bundle with the Korg Collection the time to actually be able to dive deep into them! Say, if I upgrade then I also get about an extra month of life so that I actually can spend time playing and exploring these synths rather than just adding to cart

I like utterly terrible keybeds. The old MS20s were rubbish, so it's good to see them continuing the legacyEvilDragon wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 7:29 am I had the MS-20 FS reissue in white. It sounded great!

My favourite is the DX100. Great for banging out riffs on my lap, or even at the studio desk simply because it's small & lightweight. No velocity, no feeling of anything TBH, no ability to play subtlety or nuance, just bang a key and play a note great for rubbish players like me.

No it is really just terribad. For a synth that cost 1.3k new it's a slap in the face.

You have Stockholm syndrome, dude. I think the Reface DX is great for how velocity can make a patch sound soft and harsh at the same time. When I got the ELZ_1 Play, having velocity-sensitive pads was a huge step up from the original. But now that I have a Peak, I don't miss many of the synths I have bought and sold.kritikon wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 12:44 pmI like utterly terrible keybeds. Thanks for the reply!danatkorg wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 10:47 pm My group did the PS-3300, so I'm not an expert on the Trinity plug-in. However, adding SysEx editor capabilities sounds like it would be a pretty major change. It looks like Sound Quest still offers a TR-Rack editor, though! https://squest.com/Products/MidiQuest13 ... index.html
That seems to be the only quick option these days.
Am looking forward to buying the Collection 6 upgrade soon, so cheers on the release.

I already had the M1, Triton, Triton Extreme, MDE-X and the Odyssey. Went to their site to find a Collection 6 discount code available because of those, I guess. Price was reduced to $149. That's a little less than $11 per new plug-in...a bargain at the price, I'd say. The Trinity is quite lovely sounding.

Got an email from Korg today that says the launch sale ends November 11, 2025.

Past upgrade coupons remained the same throughout sales and regular pricing. Just checked my account and found the same type of coupon code as the past ones. Interested if that has changed this time around. Especially when so many developers are trying new ways to increase their profits in ways they think we might not notice.
Doesn't seem like an urgent "must get now" at the moment though.

Can't imagine they won't do a Black Friday Sale a few weeks later however.
They usually do a half price individual titles in December also
So if you are only interested in one thing it might be cheaper to do it that way

Only they have done exactly that in the past, I know because I have taken advantage of itEvilDragon wrote: Sat Nov 01, 2025 1:09 am BF sale yes but not gonna happen for freshly released products, I am pretty damn sure.
Why would they put it on sale now, but not on sale in a few weeks? Do you think they don't want to sell it?

Wow, trying to upgrade. What a clusterf**k! Apparently it can't simply be done logged into my store account. I have to switch to Korg User Net to get the upgrade coupon, but it doesn't know I bought Korg Collection 5, so I need to register that there. I found my Authorization Code but it also wants my Locking Code. I can't figure out how to get that on my Mac. I don't have "software which has not been authorized by your license". The instructions (?) are:
"Locking Code is a unique code that identifies the computer on which the software is being used.
The Locking Code will be different for each computer and automatically displayed in a screen when you start up a software which has not been authorized by your license.
Note: If you would prefer to continue using the USB key copy protection, the locking code is not required."
