I've been having great fun putting drum loops into it using the multiband to pitch shift low mid and high, using the distortion after, using noise shaper to add some more interest in the top end and using the reverb shaper to pick out the snare for reverb.

Completely transformative.
Interesting idea- will give that a shot tonight 🤘

Shaperbox is indeed a serious tool. I use it constantly for everything from basic ducking, rhymthic distortion/noise, simple modulation of cutoff/phaser/etc, phase alignment, subtle tape warble, transitions, glitchy chaos. So good. My only request would be being able to use each Shaper more than once.

Oh, and it would be cool to be able to control the mix of an effect using Shaperbox LFOs. Automation is fine but it would be better to do it in Shaperbox imo.

Something like the plugin Freezr by Audio Modern would be nice- sequencing note repeat stuff. Time Shaper can do it but I find it harder to use. I often just draw a pattern and hope for the best.

Maybe also a Midishaper which of course they already have (never found it simply enough to set up and with Bitwig, i don't really need it) but it would be awesome to have a shaper with a bunch of assignable parameters to control other stuff outside of Shaperbox.

Oh and a delay Shaper. Maybe some additional filter types- Formant, comb, etc.

Okay so a few things they could improve. It's fantastic as it is but I'm greedy.

Hi all, Dan Worrall has posted a vid on PitchShaper. It's impressive how tight and clear his demo song sounds even after so much shifting! And how about that pitch sidechain trick? :)

Great vid.

I'm really finding the drum algo to be particularly good.

Most pitch shifting algos usually mess up the transients but whatever magic you've worked with pitch shift it still manages to retain the punch.

I guess you're referring to the fact that we changed system requirements, not supporting High Sierra any more.

We completely understand that it’s frustrating when newer software versions no longer run on older macOS systems – especially if your Mac can’t be updated any further.

As a small and efficient team, we need to focus our development resources carefully. Supporting very old macOS versions can become increasingly difficult, since Apple’s new compiler versions often stop working properly with them.

With our switch to macOS 10.15 as the minimum version, we gain access to modern C++ features that allow better optimization and a more robust development tool-chain.

We’ve always tried to maintain compatibility for longer than many other plugin developers – for example, longer than companies like Native Instruments or Waves – but at some point, there’s always a trade-off. There isn’t really a clear “right” or “wrong” decision here, and we hope you understand our reasoning.

hey Jakob)

Thank you for your post)

my pov:

It should be no problem adding the pitch module to the 3.5.6. version and releasing it as a *final version* for older systems..
The code exists and was actively used just a few days ago , basically.. , all you need to do is add it and recompile on your last compile system. i dont see a problem ..lol

Are there any technical limitations in adding the module to the 3.5.6 version and recompiling a *final legacy version* ?
- or, would it cost you more than 3 minutes to do so?

- I can help if that is the case... - which will make a bunch of people happy and also help out the cableguys *company* , surely.

- Also, there are always update reminders in the 3.5.6 version.
Please release a *final legacy* version that does not give warning indicators every time.
(thats the least you could do - some kind of ownership/responsibility towards your lovely product that we really do love and support (even if only support by good words) - you know, tie up loose ends and what not)

Can you make it happen?

Thanks=)

wish you a nice day=)

Hi Jakob
Are you planning to add midi learn or automation on any parameter ?
At the moment I can't even modulate with MidiShaper or use Cubase modulator !

An exemple on the pitch, I would love to modulate the vintage grain.
Or the volume be able to modulate the mix, decay, size etc.. etc...

Please give us full flexibilty !!!

PS. I hope you are considaring to add a delay !

We're planning to add automation for Vintage Grain, yes. Mix can be automated already. We don't have automation for Reverb Decay+Size because they can be CPU-intensive - while this may be all fine for some users, it might result in CPU overload for others, and so we thought the be rather restrictive for those parameters.

Joe also made a new video on a cool PitchShaper melody trick – this one is a lot of fun!

Great stuff Lee!

Don’t know if I am imagining things.. but this latest update of ShaperBox actually loads noticeably faster for me on macOS using Logic.
