Yes,the old open hat still plays when I play the closed hat blues.
It was so easy to fix in Emulator X 3 as you could put midi notes into different groups.
But I am confused in Kontakt 8.
Thought there would be a script for this already for kontakt 8?
I was trying to do this following the David Hilowitz you tube on the subject but it aint working.
My problem below...
When I duplicated my group,I unselected "edit all groups" but when renaming and editing files in the second group,the same files were deleted in the first group.

There is a very specific tool for doing this. It's way simpler than using a script. There are mute groups in the group editor.
Unfortunately I haven't used a bit of Kontakt 8 but in v1 through v6 it was the same.

Still have not figured this out.
Tried in Halion also which is worse at figuring out than Kontakt.
Would be great if we had a hi hat sample loader instrument!
Then it automatically did all this stuff.

Here's a multi-rack drum kit in Kontakt7:
You go into edit (spanner) mode, pop out the mapping editor. If you've got velocity layers and CC4 layers it's good fun.
There, you'll see Edit->Move to new group or Edit->Move to existing group.
These allow you to set up your groups from your layers.
Once you've organised your groups, you can go back to the Group Editor and set up the Voice Groups. For example, in this kit, any pedal (pedal down or splash) or grab action is in voice group 2, whereas all other groups are in voice group 1. Everything is set to Excl Grp 1. Fade times are used to get more natural cut offs.
Not that I understand it. It's much easier to understand in SFZ mapping. Maybe Convert With Moss can sort that out -- write it in SFZ format, then convert it?
