Boy is Universal Audio in trouble now.

Their stuff really seems top notch, at least on par .. if not even a class above.

Opinions, anyone?

I think it’s pretty unlikely Antelope “Cosmos” is going to pose any kind of threat to Universal Audio Spark/UADx. Antelope Audio are pretty obscure and will stay that way.

I wish this development would put pressure on UA to port all of their remaining UAD-2 plugins to UADx, but I just don’t see it happening. As far as Universal Audio is concerned, Antelope Audio should change their name to Ant Audio.

Haha, yeah. They're pretty late to the game and it's still iLok Dongle only or Cloud. Just getting that freebie registered and creating a user account was the IK Multimedia experience squared.

However, I'm hoping for UA to make a no-brainer deal in response now.

As a user having multiple Antelope interfaces with both the DSP and the native plugins while also being a past user of Apollo and UAD DSP cards it's a no brainer. I much prefer the results I get with the Antelope effects and there is no comparison on the interface side either.
