Gonna get this here. Guess I might get everything else while I'm at it. I only have 1 of their plugins at the moment (sketch cassette) but it's rad.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

The complete your bundle prices are quite attractive right now, during their 25% off sale (stacked discounts).

I like their plugins, and I have all except this CataClysm, but I'm not going to get it... I'm moving to Linux and their products don't play well at all with Wine and Yabridge. Real pity but that's how it is.
They also don't seem to be interested in making them more Wine friendly, let alone Linux Native.
So, sadly I'll pass...

definitely grabbing this one. i own sketch cassette, tectonic, shape shifter, and digitalis- so it seems if buy this one, lair will be all i’m missing from their collection. thus far, i’ve held off due to the stupid number of reverb plugins i have already, but i’m tempted to combine the purchases for the discount. i apologize for asking on a thread that’s for cataclysm but for anyone who has lair (especially if your reverb folder has at least… lets just call it too many plugins), is it different enough or does it offer enough to make it stand out? i love this developers stuff normally fwiw. its been touched on a bit already, but i do appreciate that cataclysm has so much going on that i cant feel guilty about buying another distortion/distortion adjacent plugin… this one can be added to my multifx plugin folder instead, which is much less populated

Lair is my favourite - it’s like a haunted reverb

I bought it bundled with Lair as well. I wouldn't say Lair is a standard reverb. It's very much a thing on it's own. There will be usecases where it makes literally no sense ... and then there will be that one spooky soundtrack, where it will make a world of difference.

Just tripling down on the love for Aberrant.
Just picked up Tectonic with Cataclysm in a bundle as Tectonic was the only one I was missing.
I use Lair all the time and love it - more reverbs should have that "sparse" knob!
The only Aberrant product I have never really been able to use is Shapeshifter. I know folks love it but I find it flattens things in a way I dislike... I'll keep trying though because everything else by them gets used all the time
SketchCassette is a surprisingly useful tool in lots of scenarios including for subtle (or not subtle) saturation and EQing - the flanger in it is great as wrll

Honestly, it's cheap, but I feel if you own Guitar Rig, you already have this plus a lot more.

I don't think it's meant specifically for guitar players. I know that's what they used in the demo video But I think it's just meant to be a quirky multi effect box.zerocrossing wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 4:07 am Honestly, it's cheap, but I feel if you own Guitar Rig, you already have this plus a lot more.

I get that, and I think of Guitar Rig as that as well, I just don’t think it’s that… quirky. Every module is pretty standard, as far as I can tell. I was trying to see if there was a way to define the signal path, but I couldn’t find a manual.HOTF wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 3:16 pmI don't think it's meant specifically for guitar players. Yes this is what is holding me back too. I like their weird stuff, this doesn’t seem in the same ball parkzerocrossing wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 4:42 pmI get that, and I think of Guitar Rig as that as well, I just don’t think it’s that… quirky.
