Resizing will come next minor feature update, as soon as possible.

Thanks everyone for submitting to the poll and all your great feedback - if you still haven't, please do it over next couple of days then we're going to go through the results and make a feature roadmap.

I've demoed this, and it's interesting but not for me at the moment. However, even though it had an installer, I cannot find an uninstaller? Do I just need to delete the vst3 file, and if so, will it be leaving any other hidden files or folders anywhere that will also need deleting?

Post

This is one of those "grab something with Chrome Sampler, throw it in and see what happens" instruments, I love it!

One thing I could ask for (and actually did in the survey), is more nodes in path mode and possibly making curve paths - like Bezier curves. Hope it will be feasible at some point.

Great job!

Hiya! Apologies I never had time to make an uninstaller however all file paths are listed here if you need to clear (as well as wherever you keep your VST3 file)

Thanks a lot!

We'll have a look into that, one of the things is that each node in the path is an audio parameter, which means you can automate it, but it also means they can't easily be generated at will. If you did have extra would 2 be sufficient? And how about a mode that turned all them into curves? (We actually had curves in the prototype and made it linear again). My main concern was making the shape quick to move in its entirety, perhaps this could be an improvement too (i.e shift/cmd click to drag the whole thing)

Hey everyone, thanks so much for all the great feedback and useful opinions! :harp:

This is a good time to announce that we'll be aiming for two main feature update releases in the next 6 months - 1.1 & 1.2

1.1 is a smaller release, main features are:
- stereo
- resizing
- other small tweaks and fixes (more gain, preview velocity)

Stereo support is well under way and not to give too much away but is sounding really really lovely so I'm excited to get this ready for release, still tweaking, fixing etc..
This will have an adjustable width, and potentially some other nice bits along with it ;)

I have a question for those it concerns, how would it be if the stereo started working with full width on saved sets with previously dropped stereo samples (we've retained the stereo channels in saved samples) - I know this would be a "breaking" change technically but it's almost always an improvement so I wanted it on full by default for stereo samples, and for those wanting full compatibility for older tweaked sounds / presets in the old mono they could either turn the width down to zero (not exactly the same as just the Left channel) OR just rebounce and re-drop the file with the left-channel only?

1.2 is going to be a bigger release and take longer so we're still discussing and thinking over all the poll results and opinions.

I hadn't considered that; then it means a - reasonably - flexible Add Node/Delete Node is probably out of the question.

A couple more nodes or curve paths will be greatly appreciated, should you add those in one of the future updates, In the meantime, I'm more than satisfied with Solstice as it is :tu:

I would vote yes to your idea for stereo implementation! Do you have a rough estimate for when the first update will be out?

Not knowing enough about the way the plugin was made, I'll still make a suggestion. They could add a completely separate playback mode that allows for arbitrary points with curves between them, but isn't automatable etc and that would let folks do big crazy paths and not change the original mode at all.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Yeah we've talked about this actually - good suggestion! We could retain the 4 main points and add the ability to add new points in between by clicking on the line. However, automating would only happen to the 4 main points as it currently exists (it would translate the new points with them relatively, so they kind of act like master points).

We're aiming for the end of this month with testing etc. If you or anyone else would like to be a beta tester and try it out early helping us by reporting any bugs, let us know!

I can test on a crappy pc with a core i5 and an Intel Iris Xe graphics... :tu:
