Doesn't happen in Ableton Live on Windows 8.1 ... :ud:
It's all nicely aligned.

Thank you everyone. I came to Stardock for the first time in several years.
I'm using WindowBlinds v11.07 and have run into another issue.

No matter which WindowBlinds theme is applied, the menubar of Reaper v7.52's "Insert virtual instrument on New Track..." and the menubar of the FX (plugin) window always become transparent and look ugly.

Is there a way to prevent this transparent?

When using Curtains v1.19.1, it does not seem to interfere with the menubar and is not transparent, but it seems that I can't change the color of the menubar.

And the close button in Cubase 14's Arranger Editor window is stubborn and I couldn't change it even using WindowBlinds...

Although it involves many problems, I would really like to unify it with the BeOS theme, which I love, but SkinStudio is difficult and I have given up on it for now.

Oops, I confirmed that I can change the close button with Curtains after restarting the PC.
However, I still haven't catch up with a close button design that I'm satisfied with.

In the first place, I really wish that Steinberg would be able to put this Arranger Editor window in the bottom pane, but Cubase 15, which was released today, didn't mention anything like that.

Up until now, due to the ugly close button, when using Ableton Live, I had to disable all VSTs and use only Live's default features, but since introducing Curtains/WindowBlinds, I am satisfied that I can fully utilize VSTs without any worries. C'mon Live 12.3...

People may act like this is silly but good UI design is an art like any other. While the close button/title bar as a whole being as ugly as they are isn't a complete deal-breaker for me, it does bug me especially with how I personally like to organize my plugin windows on my third monitor in a sort of faux-Reason-rack sort of way. If it were somehow possible to hide the title bars when not in use that would be the ideal solution, but that's a bit much to expect. I'm curious to see what other hacky solutions people have put together to take care of the eyesore on Windows.

It all comes down to whether the DAW uses native Windows buttons or they implemented their own.
Personally I kind of prefer if they use the standard Windows controls that are already available in the OS, since it's a more "native" solution with guaranteed compatibility. That said, Microsoft just keeps making Windows uglier and uglier so anything that uses the default Windows controls just keeps getting worse every year. I miss the days of Frutiger Aero, when operating systems were actually pretty to look at.

I just set my Windows border colors to a generic grey color that kind of matches the Cubase color scheme and live with it.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care
