Thanks for the info. I'm kinda nervous about it, if I somehow end up with 14 I'll be pretty upsetsqigls wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 12:50 am I'm in the same boat, and unless they are yet to change their policy, yes you can hold onto the code until C16 is released and you will get the "free upgrade".

I think the drum editor works fine, but I'm not sure why they felt we needed another drum machine in Cubase 14. I already have about 358 VST's for that.Passante wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 11:33 pm Cubase since version 14 is a mess. Instead of improving the drum editor they keep adding new ways to make drums. The interface is a cluttered f*ckfest.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Does anyone know if Cubase 15 fixes the laggy mixer undo bug that was introduced in 14? Basically undoing a mixer adjustment too quickly would fail to undo that change, instead undoing the prior change.

It's disappointing that some of the new features in recent releases are elements from other Steinberg programs.
I had no need for the new Drum Machine tracks, as I had Groove Agent.
I have no need for the stem separator as I have Spectral Layers (and stem separation is not something I do anyway).
I do have a need for freezing group folders, better Windows multi-threading, and for just the plugin that crashes crashing rather than the whole program.

I'm very happy with this upgrade, and more and more I find myself switching to Cubase from Reaper for my personal music projects. There's still quite a lot of work stuff where I have to use a variety of DAW's. But Cubase really feels like home these days. I'm so creative in it, despite some quirks here and there. No DAW is perfect.

So it's a 14.3 version for me. Not 15. 14 was a huge for sure. This one is not worth the price for the update IMHO...

What is that? I mean, from my memory, I swear, years ago, I remember I was able to group some tracks into a bus or something. Isn't that the same? What am I missing? Can you not route, say, 10 folders/tracks to a group/bus, or am I misunderstanding everything? Hence the question?

For me it´s the Reaper/Ableton/Bitwig (and the easier way in Studio One) approach: Folder = Busxmstkvr wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 9:16 pmWhat is that? This is very easy to use... drag a track (or multiple) into a folder and it´s (they are) automatically routed to that Bus (with the option to route it else as well if you like/need to).
More cumbersome in Cubase...

I don't think the beta forum content is public, and if it comes back, then NDA — it used to be there, now it’s not, that’s what matters
