Hello @moss.
I was looking to know if you would add the Sampletank format (.st4i and .pak). It's possible to create a multisample instrument with the editor, so I was wondering if it would be possible to do this through ConvertWithMoss.
Thanks.

That would be DOPE if sampletank was supported...tonythelancer wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 12:36 pm

You might already be aware of this but Sampletank supplies it's own multi-sample "maker".

Already supports 1010 music blackbox, tangerine, bitbox (preset.xml). Does bento use a different file format?

It is different. Should not be hard to support but so far I have no test device. I was in touch with them but I guess it got drowned in the noise...Uncle E wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 4:58 pm Already supports 1010 music blackbox, tangerine, bitbox (preset.xml). Does bento use a different file format?

I've tried to convert the Salamander Light SF2 instrument into an 8 layer MPC keygroup and have gotten some unexpected results from it. Tried the simple approach, no checkboxes or anything. 8 layers due to the layering of the SF2for reference, this is what I am trying to convert:
https://sites.google.com/view/hed-sound ... r-c5-light (https://sites.google.com/view/hed-sounds/salamander-c5-light)
In case the link got sanitized it's "Salamander C5 Light", I grabbed it from a google site called HED Sounds. Around 25mb so it's very efficient for a multisampled piano, which is why I'm trying this one specifically.
Has anyone successfully converted SF2 to MPC?

I had a look at the file and didn't find anything unusual. What issues do you have exactly?xanderick wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 8:10 pm I've tried to convert the Salamander Light SF2 instrument into an 8 layer MPC keygroup and have gotten some unexpected results from it. What might be confusing is the layer 8 which is a resonance layer and spread at full volume over the whole key-range. Turn its volume down and it sounds like a nice Piano.

Omnisphere 3 seems to have a xml based multisample format according to this Video, which describes it almost completely:
He does link to your site btw... There is a lot of time wasted, the interesting part beginns at 10:36 you can skip a lot of the sound examples...

Yeah, I noticed the video as well. Format looks straight forward but not sure if I ever will support it.Tj Shredder wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 10:00 am Omnisphere 3 seems to have a xml based multisample format according to this Video, which describes it almost completely:

Firstly many thanks for all your hard work.
I see someone asked about HALion and you said it wasn't supported. Any chance that might be added in the future.
I'm creating some SF2 multisamples and I already have them in HALion using it's autosampler.
If not, no matter I can import the samples to Bitwig or Kontakt and rebuild the multisamples and convert from there (not had much luck with Polyphone so far).

Moss can definitely give you his response to this, but I suspect that it wouldn't work, because Halion has encrypted their format for everything since Halion v.2. Encrypted formats generally don't work for converters.

I'd be happy to share a multi-format library if it would help. My libraries are in Halion, Kontakt, Logic, and Reason formats.
