There’s like this thing with most Vocoder plugins that bugs me, they all sound kinda cheap and dirty but not in a good way lol like for example Baby Audio’s Humanoid tried to do that whole Evoke concept and had a similar premise the idea was promising but the sound was just straight up awful and ugly to me, like idk what went wrong but Evoke sounds so lush and nice while Humanoid? just terrible

Yeah but that's the point of a vocal effect, no latencyfashii0nplayb0ii wrote: Fri Nov 07, 2025 8:30 amlatency isn’t a problem for me at all, it’s fine for my use, it’s made for post-prod anyway and doesn’t bug me since i never use vocoders live , i just draw the melody in the piano roll with the mouse and not a midi keyboard, but if you really gotta tho you just record a midi track with another vocoder that’s got zero latency like BV-X and swap it in later with EvokeGam456 wrote: Fri Nov 07, 2025 8:24 amTry to sing in real time and good luckfashii0nplayb0ii wrote: Fri Nov 07, 2025 8:17 am

Evoke is not only about vocoder

To answer my own question... yes. You can set the pitch correction amount and speed, and can set it to 0. Only other vocoder plugin I have that does this is Vocalsynth2 (unless you count Zynaptiq Wormhole, or audio-to-midi including pitchbend like Dodo).Ou_Tis wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:43 pm Is it possible to have the resynthesized signal follow the pitch of the un-"corrected" vocal, as you can with Vocalsynth, or is the resynthesized signal always "pitch corrected" and essentially autotuned? I'd really like to have the synth follow the expressive pitch variations of the vocal.
The vocoder algorithms and the presets sound much better than Vocalsynth2, though the formant shifter can easily sound worse if you overdo it.
Too bad it's probably not suitable for live performance, given the latency. If you're blending it with your non-vocoded voice anyway, you could prerecord it and play it back.

Every track I've worked on (both my own and clients) since I got this - Evoke is on it.
True, not for live performance. But I don't do that. So I care exactly zero percent about the only possible complaint for this superlative tool.
Amazing sound, crazy broad palette, easy to use. What more could you ask for, honestly?

Please. Contact the support. I already did. But we need more voices and be loud.foldaway wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 12:20 am Would love to be able to use this live. It'd be worth a lot of CPU for the option.

Any news about using this as a realtime processor for vocals?

Sorry where do you see that? I don't see any mention of that in my account. Where do you download the new presets? Thanks.

Sorry, figured it would be easy to find on their site.

Is that "easy demo without subscription" still on the horizon? I´m still rather interested in Evoke, but neither "subscribe, you can always unsubscribe" nor "buy it, we refund you if you don´t like it" tickle my fancy too much.jakepenn_ wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 7:42 pm Happy to announce we'll be adding checkout free perpetual trials on the product level after a discussion yesterday and this morning.
