Any Multi-Tap Delay with diffusion, filters and feedback per tap? (a ChowMatrix alternative)

Hi folks
I'm looking for a multi-tap delay plugin (with at least 6 taps) that features diffusion, filters (low-cut, hi-cut) and feedback PER TAP! Preferably it should also have other parameters per tap like reverse, pitch-shift, distortion, etc, but I'm primarily interested in having individual diffusion, filters and feedback control for each tap.
The closest plugin to what I'm looking for is ChowMatrix from Chowdhury DSP. This plugin is super awesome and powerful (and also free!) and it has a lot of parameters for each individual tap but there's a big issue: its diffusion algorithm is very weird, it sounds nothing like a 'normal' diffusion (the kind you find in other delay plugins like ValhallaDelay, Timeless 3, Sixth Sample Deelay, Other Desert Cities and so on), it sounds more like a "laser-effect".
Any suggestions?

Bluecat Audio's Late Replies will let you host a plugin effect per tap, and I think it does 6 taps. It's got its own basic effects as well.KTlin wrote: Sat Nov 08, 2025 12:30 am Hi folks

I don't think you can edit per tap bot per tap but I use Valhalla Ubermod a ton for muktitap diffusion with feedback and drive; lots of different and interesting tap algos available

If you're using Cubase, I think the MultiTap plugin can do most of this

Don't know any delay, which fulfills all you requirements completely. What comes into my mind is:
-D16 Sigmund (each tap completely individual but only 4 of them)
-U-He MfM (no individual feedback, only 4 stages)
-UVI Relayer (up to 32 taps, but no individual feedback or filtertypes, just different parameters though)
-Exponential Audio Excalibur (mostly abandoned, only 4 stages but completely independent)

As you are happy with 6, you could simply put 6 delays in parallel… Or do it in a modular synth like VCV or… Plug Data was mentioned already… There are a million ways to get what you want, but unlikely all in a single plugin.
May that is why I love Bitwig…

Thank you guys for all the suggestions!
Seems there's no plugin that can properly do what I'm looking for. So, as Tj Shredder suggested, I'll probably create an FX Layer in Bitwig with a couple of Delay+ modules (with different settings for the filter, diffusion amount and feedback) running in parallel. It will accomplish exactly what I need but it's a way more convoluted method (more clicks, more back and forth through the layers, less fun) as opposed to using a single plugin.

I completely forgot about Excalibur. Haven't seen it mentioned in years. It could have been the perfect candidate as it pretty much has all the features I needed. Unfortunately, as with ChowMatrix, the diffusion algorithm sounds horrible (very different than the one in ChowMatrix but equally bad).SamDi wrote: Sun Nov 09, 2025 1:24 pm ....

I checked Melda's MTurboDelay webpage (and some youtube videos) and I couldn't find any mention of that Oktafon.

It's in the manual, just download it and search for the name (note: 22 MB).

Late Replies with 8 taps each having another instance of Late Replies with individual feedback , delay time and whatever diffusion or FX you have available. Or another bunch of nested Late Replies etc etc. Save as presetzerocrossing wrote: Sat Nov 08, 2025 5:31 amBluecat Audio's Late Replies will let you host a plugin effect per tap, and I think it does 6 taps.
