rather than buy yourself something, buy something for someone else in this thread, they can do the same.
then if the partners ask "no dear, ive not bought myself anything, not this close to xmas" :D
What a great idea! What are you buying for me Vurt? Of course I'll buy something of equivalent value in return, but, you should post a picture of what it is. This probably needs its own thread. Sort of an image based version of say something about the poster above you.

Well, this is coming your way, I hope you like it!

Weird Vector is an exploration into how many awful sounds we could wring out of an entirely passive circuit. Semiconductors (specifically transistors) are generally powered by a constant voltage source. However, interesting effects and utilities can be derived when used passively.

Included in this multifunction utility module are two "dirty" wavefolding VCAs, one PNP transistor XOR gate, one diode OR gate, and a dual rectifier using an infrared LED (similar to the Lotek's) as opposed to a conventional diode.

Weird Vector is 6hp, skiff friendly, and entirely passive.
If it never shows up, remember, with gifts, it's the thought that counts.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

My new years' resolution was to get back into making music again. I've been away for years, haven't had so much as a keyboard ever since I moved into the city.

I upgraded my computer and I got myself a little Akai MPK Mini :D

Redid my 'wanted' rack so that you all know what to get me for Christmas :D

It could fit in a custom, wood rack like: https://reverb.com/item/72551657-handcr ... v04QWqUHfQ

I say that about all the things I should have fixed around the house too. I do think about it, so...

All purchases on the back burner until I finish exploring my greatest bit of GAS ever, the recent good luck I had with a pension fund I’d forgotten about seems to have made it possible to afford my own place for the first time, something I thought I’d lost the chance to do.
And if it all works out.. a lot more space for lovely gear in the future. Still months away but making progress.

Are you safe?

Congratulation, I hope it works out for you.
I had to sell after a divorce and now it's back to renting. Bigger space now, but I've crammed it so full it is hard to connect everything again and I keep procrastinating when I know it's not "permanent".

Next acquirement will be Stylophone DF-8, I think. I have the CPM DS-2 and I know they'll be superb together.

Cheers. Sorry to hear about the divorce, mine set me back a bit too. Only now in a place to clear my last debts and… apply to be in more debt than I’ve ever been in before!
Just knowing I’d be able to stick hooks in the wall to shift my guitars off stands and making a space to have my modular set up full time will make a big difference to me though.

Thanks, I'm better off with everything else after the divorce, so it was definitely worth it.
In the future I want a "modular house" with audio/midi interfaces in the walls of most rooms, so I can hook up different synths around the house and invite people for a house jam.
Plans are being made 🦾

Just picked up a 2025 u87ai, no lie, sounds better than one I got shipped from Thomann back in 2022. Thrilled.
