I bought Pulsar (and added Aura for an additional discount while I was at it) a few days ago and have been using a few instances of Pulsar in my latest track. I agree with everything above, including the comment that it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. That said, I simply like the way it looks and feels (and sounds, obviously). It’s very immediate and intuitive, no need to crack open the manual, and everything is easy to find. Personally, I don’t always need something new and cutting edge - simply having a different flavor and/or a better workflow is worth the money sometimes.Neon Breath wrote: Fri Aug 01, 2025 2:37 am I gave it a spin, just for fun. It's definitely a quality delay, no doubt there. Not sure though if it's truly bring something new or amazing in the world of delays, especially if you already own another quality one such as Valhalla or Echoboy or Replika, you all know the usual suspects right. If you don't own any except a DAW stock one then could be a cool choice, it's sounds good.

I picked it up last night using my $50 loyalty voucher, after adding 3 extra plugins (High Flyer, BM60 and Wavesurfer), dynamic dicounts reduced the price to only $33.55 for all 4 vsts (Not bad for $129.96 worth of plugins). I haven't tried Pulsar yet, been too busy downloading & re-installing the many plugins I lost after a CPU replacement.

It's actually quite fully featured and flexible and is also for both basic and creative application. If you can't make your delay throws sound more interesting with this thing I think you're in the wrong line of work.

Ended up buying this along with the Aura reverb. I like the way it looks and sounds and it's got mostly everything I want, plus I've used Valhalla for so long it's nice to switch things up. Not having to choose between stereo width control and ducking like on Valhalla Delay is good. Just an overall really solid delay.
What I don't like is that the drive is dependent on input, it has no separate drive control or input trim, so to control the drive you have to fiddle with gain staging. Also having no internal preset system is kind of ridiculous. Still, worth the money.

Yeah thats was something I missed. Still, nothing is ever perfect. There is always going to be some small omission or two, as long as it doesn't stop us from getting good results in the end.Vortifex wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 7:29 pm Ended up buying this along with the Aura reverb. Over two months since I reported a bug with the diffusion on the Air model and still no update. There's also a bug with the modulation on the Air model. At just 3% the modulation becomes too extreme.
I see Brainworx have released more plugins since this one. Would be nice if they fixed their existing ones first.

This is an endemic problem that a lot of developers have. I was looking at Baby Audio’s Atoms a year ago and found a giant bug in its MPE implementation. I reported it and they said there was going to be a fix in the next update. I saw that it’s on sale again, so I downloaded the latest, and as far as I can tell, it’s been untouched for a year.Vortifex wrote: Tue Nov 04, 2025 5:07 pm Over two months since I reported a bug with the diffusion on the Air model and still no update. There are only a few developers, like U-he, that I trust will fix bugs and improve their plugins. If I find a bug in anyone else’s, I assume it will never get fixed.

I see nothing new here
But at least there is a manual, this time, or an attempt to make a manual
AFAIR they didnt even care to make any documentation for the bx 2500 delay,
Might not be rocket science, but bad and careless style still, like unfinished
Been away from PA for over a year, or two, their stuff ends up unused here, so forgot
Seems the Wedge Force guitar things are gone ,.. guess support and developement also ?
I can see the green update links are removed all over in my account
Also I see that despite I have most their licenses, there is no updates or reductions elswhere
49.99 is my price for Pulsar, nice looking, but nothin substantial to add, just as usual,.
So many better tools or upgrades to get for that price
I would not even pay 20 bucks, if anything
Being back on the PA-site ,.. feels like returning to a ghost-town TBH

What you usually hear from their support when reporting a bug: "Your ticket has been forwarded to Product Usage support, and we will do everything we can to assist you."
They do nothing later. Don't waste you money on PA. Arturia has a similar support. Some trolls from support will get back to you, but don't expect more. After a year, you can resend a bug report again, but they will tell you the same lullabies.

When you set Diffusion to a very low percentage, say 3%, the reverberation effect continues for a very long time that far exceeds the delay feedback. This bug was confirmed by the devs to affect Windows and Mac. Copy the settings below and try it. Then set Diffusion to 50% and compare:

That's interesting. I took a screenshot so I can give it a go next time I get a chance.Vortifex wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 11:01 amWhen you set Diffusion to a very low percentage, say 3%, the reverberation effect continues for a very long time that far exceeds the delay feedback.
