Awesome. Thank You.

Wow - what a wonderful update - thank you!

Post

Love the features but the update is crashing my PT system 2025.6.1.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Post

Went back to 2.74 and it worked fine.

Unless something was missed, it could be a compatibility issue with a third party plug-in (there have been a few changes regarding VST3 and it's a pretty unstable plug-in format...). Does it also happen when loading an empty PatchWork?

Before I tried rolling back to 2.75 it seemed to be ok with a new instance in a separate session. Just needed to get my mix working so I didn't delve as deeply as I would otherwise

A couple of less common plugins are in use. Here is what I had going on with the two channels where PW was inserted:
CH 1 (stereo): BC PW (using as IR loader)>SSL CS2>TDR Arbiter>Korneff Chococlate Milk
Ch 2 (stereo) BC PW (also as IR loader) > SSL CS2

PT 2025.6.1 - Mac OS Sequioa 15.3.2. The PT crash dialog cited the PW as the cause. Happened multiple times. I also tried opening a new session and importing everything from my mix session but the PW channels. That worked until I tried to import the PW channels, then it crashed during the import session data process.

Upon rolling back to 2.74 the session opened without issue. I committed my two tracks up to the PW insert and it has been stable since.

Hope this proves informative on some level. Happy to answer any questions to help ya.

To clarify, the only thing inserted in Patchwork was an instance of the IR loader. Nothing else.

So you mean that there was no third party plug-in loaded inside PatchWork at all?

Yes, that is correct.

That's really odd! Running an Intel or ARM Mac?

Post

ARM Mac Studio M1 Max.

I have not been able to reproduce the crash yet (still trying...). Can you maybe share either the PatchWork preset corresponding to one of the crashing instances (just save the preset from the session from the PatchWork user interface), and/or a stripped-down project with just one of the tracks that cause the crash?

Post

Oh, also, do you maybe have a default preset defined? This could sometimes lead to crashes upon session load if there is an incompatible/unstable third party plug-in inside.
